in Final Fantasy XIV
Remember FFXI had 20 million problems especially logging. Infact pretty much all mmo's at release experience issues due to high levels of congestion. It's not a big deal. Even if there was exploit and some people abused that, each case would be addressed unless the entire server participated in it lol.

    If you need some context, I'm pretty sure OP is referring to the 3102 login error many of us are experiencing. We can't login at this time. It's a beta error so I'm not terribly upset about it. I believe Square Enix will have it ironed out by release, but for many it's already made a lasting bad impression because they demand and surely deserve the very best.

    Why would anyone even qq about a beta error?  That's what beta is there for.  I'm really starting to think that companies should not open beta to players as they get such a bad name from it...sucks.

    Well... no, not really.

    If they were making a proper open beta (like they should have) it would actually have a decent length, like a week, so we could work all these issues out.

    Yoshi specifically said it's a demo.

    The game is assumed finished at this point and without critical bugs.

    Obviously, this is not the case. So this is quite embarrassing for them. An error in their demo.

    Favorite MMO: Vanilla WoW
    Currently playing: GW2, EVE
    Excited for: Wildstar, maybe?

    As much as it sucks not being able to play since I'm 3102'd, this really isn't anything new for MMOs on release.

     

    Especially now, since the game is probably more crowded than it ever will be again (since everyone can try it for free and there's hype).

    If it isn't fixed in 6 days.. disaster will strike.

    Not a big deal? This is this game's second chance... they need a perfect first impression or it will have all been for nothing.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
