Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance: Service Schedule By Year's End

During NCSoft's financial report to investors, it was revealed that the Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance service schedule will be released by the end of 2013. Lineage Eternal is the sequel to Lineage 2 and takes place over 200 years in the future.
Lineage Eternal provides players with an improved new battle system featuring overwhelming-scale battlefield, 'Drag Skill', activated depends on your mouse drawing trace, 'Smart View', providing the best view for players when they are in any situation, and 'Interactive Object' that you could use objects surrounding to fight.

I don't know how Suzie can write that Lineage Eternal is the sequel to L2 while PlayNC (NC Korea) clearly stated at the announcement of Lineage Eternal that it's not the same as L3 and it certainly is not a sequel to L2. The only reason it carries the name Lineage is that it's using the same world/universe as the rest of the IP

The chronological order of Lineage is:
Lineage 2 -> (150 years) -> Lineage 1 -> (200 years) -> Lineage Eternal.
Lineage Eternal is a sequel to Lineage 1, and Lineage 2 is a prequel to Lineage 1.
You probably never played Lineage 1...
And the first Lineage game was inspired by diablo as welll.

L1 still is my favorite MMO.
L1 still is the most successful MMO of NCSoft.
L2 is meh... compared to l1.
And Diablo was inspired by Nethack and Moria, which were probably inspired by some previous games as well.
But who gives a sh*t. It's a style of game. Diablo was not first game of its kind, so stop being a damn sheep and use your own brain.
yes there were lots of isometric games before Diablo, Diablo just made the style mainstream for ARPGs-MMORPGs.
L1 since 1998 and still makes over 60-80 million dollars a quarter for NCSoft.
Games launched closer to L1 in 1997-1998 as Tibia and UO don't even dream in making such money.
L1 was my first MMO ever. Incredible game, and I still play it sometimes on a private server. I agree, L2 sucks compared to L1.
My concern is Lineage Eternal won't be a true MMO. In L1 everything was open world and PvP could happen anywhere. I hope LE is the same in that regard.
According to devs, there will be an open world plus instances(I just hope instances in LE have a CD, you can't do the same instance twice in less than 24hours-1week(epic raids)) in order to prevent open world and world bosses from dying.

- Red circles: 3 players leaving the town;
- Yellow circles: 2 players coming back to the town;
- Green circle: another player standing in fornt of town's gate talking to a guard npc, probably doing a quest.
(^I've seen some analysis of the trailer where they noted every player character. Lost the link, though. Anyway, yeah, I think it will be very similar to that original MMO.)

merely pointed it out. but it appears that someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and invested more meaning into a simple comment. I had read an old article indicating that diablo was an inspiration (or d2 was a long time ago). Do you have a problem with that article?

Lineage Eternal is more of a sequel to the original Lineage. Afther Lineage Eternal they will then probably show the sequal to Lineage 2. Its rumored that they have been working on it and Aion 2.

When L1 was being developed(nearly 1995+) NCSoft was just a small company with poor resources, it was L1 that made them a giant MMO maker due to its success.
The graphics and animations were absolute garbage, yes. But the gameplay was fantastic. And the reason I played it for many years.
What did you enjoy most about it?
We must have seen completely different videos as graphically and animation wise this beats D3 by a mile.

Yeah right, it's almost 15 years old, time for an update.
Lineage 1 Is already "sequel" to Lineage 2.
Creating a "Sequel" to Lineage 2 story wise is completely impossible considering how SMALL amount of time is between current L2 and L1. I guess they could do a prequel to L2, but that would require them to go even further back in time making it even less similar to L2.
Chronology of the games go like this:
Lineage 2 -> a few decade period gap for expansions and shit -> Lineage 1 -> a few decade period for content updates -> Lineage Eternal.
Timeline is convulted enough as it it. It only makes sense that third part in the franchise would come after L1 events(especially considering L1 far beats a far more streamlined L2 in popularity and player base).
