PS3 Incorrect Code?

I pre-ordered from Amazon.com, and apparently they forgot about sending me my promo code. So I sent in a complaint and they sent a response with an apology and the promo code.

However, whenever I try to register the promo code on the Site, it says either that "there was a problem. Please try again later." Or, "there was a problem with your code. Please enter it correctly." I've re-entered it for the past couple of hours with no success. I'm assuming than it partially is because server load, but I'm not sure if that relates to the code issue. Any one else having this problem?

even though it gives an error it probably registered just fine, you can check in the your profile, on the top right corner of the page.

It should show a picture of FFXIV ARR and the register date below it.

Checked the profile and it says no games registered. I added the game code on there and it said invalid game code. :/

Judging from the 48 page thread on the Beta forums everyone is having this issue.  I don' t think they have turned the system on or whatever they have to do to accept the codes yet.

My email with the code said I would be receiving an email telling me when to put the code in and I haven't yet received it.

I am having the same issues you are though and I think we need to just wait a little bit however, if I still can't put my code in and others are able to in a few days its time to worry.

Tyvm :) I was hoping that was the issue, and not that my code is bad hehe.

    Yeah, my PS3 CE code from Amazon (6 letter - 3 digit - 6 letter - 3 digit) isn't taking either.

Do you happen to have a link to that discussion?

Their pages must be getting hit hard, really slow loads / refreshes.

Right I've spoken to SE support again directly, this is the info fed to me:
Currently even though the page is live to the public, it's not actually working as intended.
    Don't use the http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/(or na / jp) link(s) as it won't work.
Everyone will be notified, that entered their email address into the official site previously as to when the page is actually 'actively functioning' to redeem your codes.
The XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX , 18 digit code you receive from your retailer you purchased the pre-order from IS the code you use ;http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/[2] but only to be used when the community (as a whole) is notified via email that the page is up and functioning officially for use. Support advised me to advise anyone, not to use the page until said notification email is received (he approximated within the next 24/48 hours)
I asked them "Is my code now void..." because the game is now registered against my SE account but on PC instead of PS3, they reassured me that the code will not be void and to try it again when the page is active. If it doesn't work, then to phone them directly and they will address it.

To be Clear, there are 2 codes involved. One is 18-digits that you register on the pre-order site. The other is 12-digits(PS3) or 20-digits(PC) that you receive after successfully registering on the pre-order site either on the confirmation page of the pre-order site or through a confirmation email. Please read below for details.

Also, note that just because the game shows up on "your games" does not guarantee that you have early access. You MUST link the 12-digit or 20-digit code to your SE account in order to complete the process.

When you pre-ordered the game you should have received an 18-digit code in the form of ABCDEF-123-ABCDEF-123. This code is the same for both PS3 and PC users

To register your promotional code go to:

    http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ for North American Users.

    or

    http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ for European users.

Enter your code, select PC or PS3 , and then select "Redeem My Code".

*important* The new code you receive after this step is 12-digits for PS3 or 20-digits for PC. Please be sure to select the correct platform at this step.

From here one of three things will happen:
    1. You will receive a message stating, "There was a problem, please try again later."
    2. You will receive a message stating, "There was a problem with your code. Please make sure you have entered it correctly."
    3. You will be directed to a page with a 20-digit Early access code and a download link for the client.
*NOTE* If you have the Beta 4 client installed you DO NOT need to redownload the client.

If you receive an error message, you can keep trying or check "My Profile" to see if your game registered. There have been reports of players receiving an error message but receiving the confirmation email with the new code.

Once you have your 12-digit(PS3) or 20-digit(PC) code you will be directed to either register it for the PC or through the Playstation store for PS3 players.

To register for PC go to https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...vearlycontract, Log in to the account you wish to have early access, and register your 20-digit code.

Just wondering, if I don't get any codes, how am I supposed to valid my account even for the launch?

If you ordered through the SE store, SE will email your 18-digit promotional code to you. However, please keep in mind that the SE mail servers are severely overloaded and the mail may be delayed.

On the day of official launch (or shortly thereafter) new accounts will be asked to register the box code that comes with your physical copy or digital download. Legacy players and players who previously registered a 1.0 box code will not have to do this.

If I'm a 1.0 player who already has it on PC registered, but not legacy, will entering the preorder code for PS3 allow me early access on the PC version? I preorderd the ps3 version just to get the early access on PC pretty much.

I'm not sure how PS3 registration of accounts works. However, you should be required to link the code to an "SE account management" account regardless of platform. If this is the case, one can assume that you can link to your existing 1.0 account. Keep in mind that you will still have to register your PS3 box code on official launch if you wish to play on the PS3.

I wonder why some people got their code straight away and others haven't gotten it yet.

SE elected to send pre-order codes right before early access, whereas Amazon, Gamestop, and GreenManGaming sent them with confirmation of pre-order right after you ordered."

So like, if there is a page load error, keep trying. If it says the code is incorrect, it probably isn't, and keep trying.
