It kept giving me the error and saying my code is invalid also.
Went to my account earlier today and it had FFXIV registered showing I had one game now instead of 0.
My account is also pulling up as EU instead of NA. Hoping that doens't matter. Since i might have registered it under EU lol.
I have yet to receive the second part which is supposably a 20 digit code to enter into the square enxi managment instead of ffxiv management.
Really hoping it doesn't go to a mess and it's just a delayed email and the site gets back up to running.

I am not doing it so i don't know the exact procedure.You should share exactly what you did with others ,so they are not panicking or not entering in the wrong place.

Currently even though the page is live to the public, it's not actually working as intended.
Don't use the http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ (or na / jp) link(s) as it won't work.
Everyone will be notified, that entered their email address into the official site previously as to when the page is actually 'actively functioning' to redeem your codes.
The XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX , 18 digit code you receive from your retailer you purchased the pre-order from IS the code you use @ http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ but only to be used when the community (as a whole) is notified via email that the page is up and functioning officially for use. Support advised me to advise anyone, not to use the page until said notification email is received (he approximated within the next 24/48 hours)
I asked them "Is my code now void..." because the game is now registered against my SE account but on PC instead of PS3, they reassured me that the code will not be void and to try it again when the page is active. If it doesn't work, then to phone them directly and they will address it.
When does it begin?
Maybe wait until the day of?
just having collector's edition does not = early access, your account has to have legacy status, aka you paid more than 3(or was it 6?) months of game time near the end when they shut down the servers

Just got off the phone with SE phone support regarding this issue....They know about and cant help you, figure id save yall the 2 1/2 hour wait time to talk to someone for nothing. His advice keep checking the lodestone and keep your eyes on your emails...
Ive pretty much come to the conclusion that this game is awesome but everything surrounding the game is fail(support, account mgmt., etc...) Good luck to you all and maybe someday *fingers crossed* ill see you in Eorzea.

Earlier today I spammed the code I got from my amazon pre-order and it finally took around 2PM EST.
Just now, 8:45PM EST I received an email from Square Enix confirming my code went through and provided me with a new Early Access code which I entered through a different website from before and it seems to have gone through without any issues.
Good Luck everyone....this system is pretty confusing.
For those thinking they have to register two codes: and 18 digit and a 20 digit - that is not correct from what i read.
I've read the 20 digit key is for japan pre orders and the page you keep seeing for pre order 20 digit was translated to english be SE.
The 18 digit that we have ALL been going to is the NA pre order page.
My guess is if we see our game is registered - it is. We might receive a delayed email with further instructions but we should be good to go. nothing to worry about with another code.
my source is nothing TOO reliable - but it makes a lot of sense. I'll aim for that.
Error 3, repeatedly . Every aspect of their website infrastructure seems unable to handle even moderately heavy traffic, (their Twitter blames the errors on heavy traffic). That's not really gonna work for an MMO.

I registered my code at 8am this morning. On the NA page I put it in like 3 times to notice in my profile page that I registered FFXIV. Does that mean I'm set for everything?
I had nothing but errors during the time I was inputting it though code was 6-3-6-3.
What the error says: Error 3: There was a problem. Please try again later.
What they official forum-goers see: Error 3. There was a problem. Please try again NOW GO GO GO CONFIRM CONFIRM GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
