Tanks are in the most demand and dungeon drops seem superior to ordinary stuff you get while questing or from vendors at X level.
You can access dungeons more often on a tank, get more drops because of that (even just from greed rolls), then use them on other classes. It's all on one character after all.
Unlike most games, you aren't making some big commitment if you start tanking. It's just a class change.

Go with Lancer (or maybe Archer).
2 of the top DPS classes in the game, so they are always welcome, and also 2 of the easiest classes in the game.
Archer. its fastest class to lvl and easy too. u can auto attack and use dps skill same time u move. there is not ration really either. just 3-4 button. killed 12 lvl tree mob as 3 lvl archer, just kite to death:)

In the end a lot of the appeal of the game is switching classes anyway, so picking whatever you feel like playing is a safe bet.
Then when you switch out, you'll have some skills from any classes you've played so far that you can use in new ones too.

Something to consider:

The first few levels will hold your hand explaining everything to you even first monsters are easy so you learn your new job.
So I would say play what you like.
But if you insist on others telling you what to play.... go marauder it's a hybrid dps/tank.
You will be invited in battleleves fast since your job is considered a tank and you will deal more damage then a gladiator so it's not that slow.
