Part two of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Dungeon Crawl video series is now live. While part one featured just three of the game's dungeons, there are many, many more on display in this latest video.
So much work went into the details of this game .... and that's not the impressive part ... what's impressive is that it was all done so quickly!! A failed MMO turned into something that people are actually excited to play.
This is the most impressive come-back I"ve seen from an MMO.
Dzemael Darkhold looked pretty blandly redundant after the first half of the instances in the game were mostly 'grey/brownish-colored dark underground cave/mine/dungeon', but the rest look to have more variety and identity. Overall, looking good.
Frustrating for me to watch because it makes me want to play but i am not ready to play this game yet
I just hope i can find players to enjoy the content when i do play.
The graphics/textures are so clean and clear in this game.
Shouldn't be a problem in a game where you have people starting over at level 1 on a multitude of classes, thereby having people constantly going through old content on a consistent basis.

No kidding. I've been cautiously optimistic about this game ever since I first chatted with Yoshi at E3 last year, but after I really sunk my teeth in during Phase 4 I'm completely sold. And yes, it's definitely a great comeback story.
That video was epic especially the second to last scene, the one that looks like a lab it looks identical to the mako reactor in FF7 where sephiroth discovers the truth about Jenova in Nibelheim. i cant wait to find loads more refrences to their other FF games.

Yea the magitech stuff with the Garlean's is pretty neat.
Overall the details in this game are great. I loved seeing the wind weather affect cause my characters robe to blow in the wind and seeing the trees and banners and other environmental objects do the same.

Like what? You have it in other games like GW2, EQNext and so forth. I look at FFXIV and think of 2013. I just don't understand you "innovate or go away" gamers. That's like saying Sunday Professional football should have innovated as it's been around for close to a century or more, give me a break. The only thing that really changes are some rules, how we view the game and the "modern" aspect of the stadiums and uniforms and materials used to play the sport. Hmm, sounds a lot like FFXIV, it's still got the basic gameplay but with all the bells and whistles of today's games and in some cases even more(mainly graphics, music, sound and immersion).

Excited for early access!
My cautious optimism ended midway through Yoshi taking over 1.0; I stuck around initially because I payed for the CE of 1.0, I stuck around until the end of 1.0 service because of Yoshi. I do tend to sound fanboi-ish talking about him, but he is an amazing producer who is extremely close with the XIV community, most of us have played with him in game in some fashion during 1.0. This is the first mmo I feel was truly built for us gamers by a gamer.
I think the only issues they are going to have early on is the game is a bit more popular than they had planned for.

This was evident from the server issues and the registration issues they only recently fixed. They were not prepared.

Well since you copy pasted what you said in another thread. I'll copy paste my reply.
Well... FFXIV has a hype level of 8.25
GW2 has a score of 8.6
So I guess numbers disagree with you there...
If you were trying to make a statement that was people want something because they haven't played it, we all have now.
If you were alluding to the fact that people always want what they cannot immediately have... Well that is a fact of life, and I cannot deny that.
Video was amazing, I gasped as they cut away to the Tonberry King.
I am really excited for the dungeons now.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Among many other options

What does gw2 have anything to do with this post at all.. or is it a sin to like both games.

But man what a way to go though, even with errors they smashed the record for concurrent beta participants logged in, by a pretty damn large number.
