Slow Patcher : (

in Dark and Light

Just wondering why my one computer is patchign really slow and the other has had the patch done for hours now.. Says I have 1.15 gb left and its been patching for an hour now. Its on TOPO16.PAk now. Plus i have a canadate file and a current file in the Launcher file.. Other computer doesnt. If any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated : ) Plus it would help if they didnt bring down the forums.

    so install sog in the launch file?

    ok i had same problem tried all kinds of things and what worked for me was:

    1 goto program files dark and light, launcher, sog and minimize..

    2 next goto the sog file icon and select all files in that folder

    3 copy them over to the sog folder that was minimized .some might overwrite

     (for me they did) so i just went

    with yes to all if it asks . after that the patcher only took a few mins

    think that is all i did ..been a long day and been trying all kinds of things.

    or what knight said might work.  i  tried that and it didnt seem to work for me

    Yeah, if you don't unpack sog.exe into the directory that says "launcher" you will be there all night. I had to fix that on one of my computers - hope that clears up your problem. It says something like localhost:Program FilesDark and LightLauncher

    I actually had the same problem until a guildie told me what I did wrong and its not installing the SOG.exe lol.
    I am stuck at work doing a Lab Report and studying for a Test tomorrow.
    Guess I forgot to do that in all this mess I am in at this time::::06::

    omg nice save guys, patching the whole .exe file would have taken forever.

     

    I followed your instructions and basically went to integrity check immediately and now have less than 5mb to d/l rather than 1.35gb.
