I am tired of people saying how bad this game is going to be. If it's going to be bad you don't have to tell us about it. People will figure that out on their own. The ideas behind the game are great some of the best I have ever seen. It all comes down to if they can pull it off or not.
In my eyes WoW is one of the worst mmorpg's on the market and not for the same reasons you are saying Dnl is a bad game. WoW lacks any original idea, the pvp is completely pointless, you spend more time in instanced areas than in a real time enviroment hoping to get the l33t loot, the game is all about these high level drops that people would kill for, one of my friends who is a hardcore mmorpg player said it best "WoW makes people greedy to the point that they would stab real life friends in the back for a drop." Wow does run very smooth and it is rather polished. That is great and all but we wouldn't expect anything else from a huge gaming giant like blizzard. I would like to say that wow is great for people that have never played a mmo before. It is very simple and easy to get into. As for hardcore players that like depth in their games wow will fail horridly.
You have to take a look at the ideas behind dark and light and see that they are so much better than the rest of the industry. It might take them longer to finish it but if they can make it work and run smoothly it will be the better game compared to the current selection of titles on the market right now. If they are atleast trying to do this then why give them hell about it?? They aren't forcing you to play there game. As for the trolls downing a game that isn't finished yet go back to WoW or whatever rock you crawled out from under. I'm looking forward to playing Dark and Light. If it takes them another 2 years to completely finish it then so be it.

It would be nice if they would use some common sense yes......if not then I suppose I can't stop people from constantly revealing their ignorance. I love you by the way....you awesome
For the most part, the naysayers are the ones using common sense. The actual, tangible evidence that we have to base our expectations of this game on indicate that it's going to be a dud. The ones failing to use common sense are those insisting, in spite of every indication otherwise, that this will turn out to be a phenomenal game in the end.
They have nothing to base this on. We've seen this scenario a thousand times: No-name developer has hugely ambitious ideas that will rock the MMORPG industry to its core! It has never turned out that way - not once. So, from an industry standpoint, history is against DnL - but hey, you can't base the outcome of this game on every other game alone, so let's look at the history of DnL and its developers next.
How many times has this game been delayed? Have they managed to pull off a single event of any kind without some sort of catastrophic failure? Pre-orders? Nope. SOG launch? Nope. So far, they're pretty much batting 0.0 They couldn't even put together a decent E3 video (which is practically the kiss of death all by itself - anyone who can't make their game look good for E3...can't make their game look good).
I'm still hopeful that they'll manage to salvage something of this atrocity - but I have no expectations that they'll actually pull it off.
Im sorry but the revolutionary idea of lying about features and your programers capabilities has already been done(Mourning).. So please explain, what exactly these con artist are offering to the MMO market that hasn't previously been presented?
Remember Mourning said you could have offspring and various other features that were never implemented..
We are all entitled to our opinions, you may not want to witness our negativity but on the flipside I may have a tough time comprehending any intelligent thoughts behind supporting this product. If mmorpg.com announces they only want "positive, happy" threads posted on these forums then you will be justified attempting to act like a moderator, until then, I will stand by my rights, my freedom, the beautiful American flag and say whatever the fuck i want about DnL.

What exactly attracts you to Farlan/NPcube? Is it the lack of information about the game? The 3+ years of delays and empty promises? Oh, perhaps it's the total lack of support from the Dev to the community?
I'm no fan of S.O.E. but at least they can put out a product that works in under 1/2 a decade. Kudos for that I guess.
4 Years of development. 2 Years of closed beta. Result: SoG.
Another 2 years? lollerskates. We will be lucky to see a good product by 2010 maybe. But by then, the graphics will be 15 years old.
