The Odin Fight

in Final Fantasy XIV

So, we don't have much information about him but we do know that he will get stronger every time he comes back.  Will he then at some point be the strongest boss in the game and even become unbeatable. If his loot gets better every time I'm sure he will be dying a lot at first, but do you guys think he will ever actually get to the point of rivaling the toughest bosses in our favorite games? (Without the use of his signature one shot)

Slightly related, do you guys think we'll be seeing Tonberries one hitting people stupid enough to think they can fight them?

    There isn't "infinite" excursiveness in his summon.

     

    Remember, Primals can only be fought with your Free Company (guild), and only your guild will be able to summon him when doing some of the other fights (like the 24 person raids). Once he is defeated once, he will be summonable, and he will not have the abilities that he had in other FF games. for example, he will not do the insta-death, he did in FFVII, or the infinite power up he had in other games.

    That is for a normal Primal, Odin is supposed to be a roaming FATE boss. Unless it's changed.

    Ya I thought the same thing, that he was a Fate.
    Guess we will see in a few days.

    Yeah, he's probably not limitless in potential, and even if his stats are, he is going to be limited to specific attacks and such, so once people get the fight down he'll probably either be cake, or he'll do some unavoidable attack that will 1-shot everyone, in which case it won't be much of a 'fight'...

    Also, Tonberrys are all over the place in one of the higher level Dungeons (Wanderer's Palace) and the final boss is the Tonberry King. I don't know if they will have a 1-shot move, but if they do I'm sure it will be avoidable.

    the tonberrys will have a attack with red circles , kind like catuars in thanalan , hell 1 has 100 needes (100 not 1000) that does 100 dmg :P at low lvls thats OP as hell

     

    and yeah Odin will be a FATE , so every1 will be able to fight him , dont think will drop loot but maybe some "tokens" for exchange or something like that .
