Whats a good server to join for me and a friend?

in Final Fantasy XIV
My friend and I plan to play FF14 quite a bit so were wondering what server we should pick to start on, Currently we are on faerie but it does not seem that popular of a server so were considering starting on a new server. Any suggestions?

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

or

B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

    I believe Faerie and another one (Sylph? Don't remember) were added in open beta so they are a little bit on the anemic side. Choose one other than that and you should be good to go.  Plus, it's not about the quantity, it's about the quality of the players and community. Good luck! :)

    I'm on Gilgamesh, which is the best server *cough*, but Leviathan and Behemoth are also very high-pop (to the point they were 'full' in beta). Adamantoise is also pretty popular I think, but not quite full. Not sure about the rest really.

    By day 2 (of phase 4), over half the servers were full.

    I Was on Faerie in sundays beta and its FAR from anemic lol. There were people running around everywhere!
