Is there a way to see you have FFXIV ARR CE and not just a non CE copy?

in Final Fantasy XIV

I bought 2 copies of the game, one from gamersgate for full price and a second copy a little later on from greenmangaming with 25% off.

After the error 3 shenanigans  I read about how to get around that via changing the English(UK) in your profile to English(US) and that seemed to work.

Now the thing is when I go into my profile I see the game is registered  ( when we start the game client we also get the wait till early start begins message) but it doesn't say it is the CE version. It the same for both copies in both accounts.

It just says FFXIV ARR is registered and I don't recall seeing anything other than cait sith and mog cap in that last confirmation page when I regged.

 

With all these code mess ups I am worried we  got non CE codes from both gamersgate and GMG even though we paid  for CE version.  Is there any way too see which is registered to our accounts?

Or alternately can some of you that have the CE version confirm it doesn't show (in your profile) which copy you have.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

    Me and my girlfriend also bought CE edition and registered it; it didn't show up as such however. 

    So, maybe it's a SE thing with their account page or we're all screwed, I don't know. 

     

    As much as I've appreciated the game, they very well could have made this whole process much, much smoother.

    The early access codes that we all entered have the same purpose. They are only there to give you early access and the pre-order bonuses. In order for your account to become CEs you have to wait for the distributor you used to issue you guys a retail key by email if digital or physical box  if not. This might happen closer to the release date.

    Yeah they don't seem very good with accounts and forums lol.

     

    Thanks for the reply, hopefully others will reply that have bought CE, more confirmation that this is normal might help my stress levels lol.

    I am hoping it is normal myself as I am having nightmares about having to go through their customer support!

    Good to know, not to be a doubting tom but where did you come by this info, I have been looking around and have not seen anything indicating this anywhere?

     

    I have to say I love the game but SE lack of keeping us informed or addressing our issues is rather sad.

    I too had the same question about my Digital CE I bought from amazon.

     

    The person I talked to on the phone told me I would get another email with my product key when my credit card is charged on the 27th.

     

     

    I.E. with digital preorders waiting till money actually changes hands is fairly common practice in regards to product serial/keys.

    I would understand in cases like this but with  Gamersgate I got the 18 digit code right away and GMG sent it not long ago, I was billed right away for both of them, the money was taken out of my PP account almost instantly.

    Like you all are saying though maybe they will send the serials soonish, the 27 is coming up pretty quickly.

    i don't think it shows anything bout it.

     

    I have a CE from 1.0 and nowhere on my profile is anything to indicate that I have the CE.     The game definitely knows though (Like when I made a character in beta, it gave me the Onion helm from 1.0).

    Also when entering a preorder code I got, there was a point where it showed me a list of my in game rewards and it had all the CE items and the preorder items in it too.    Now there's no way to go back to that screen and see it again it seems, but I did see it lol.
