Are we going to have to hold onto specially crafted weapons just for one mob?

In Everquest we would have to get all melee classes specially crafted weapons from specific materials in order to hurt certain boss mobs.

My question here is....are we going to have to basically craft and collect special weapons to hold onto in EQ Next just for the possibility that we may come up against one of these special beasts?  Just the thought makes me want to have extra storage chests for gear in my player made house.

    Way too early for such details I'm assuming.

    They've hinted at needing a full set of Tier X gear to move on to the next tear or to at least have a chance. This could imply having required gear for particular Tiers and Mobs.

    But they have also said that if a group kills a dragon, it might just be gone from there. So maybe less focus on gear prep and more focus on getting to the action and handling business.

    Maybe the days of farming a particular named mob are gone and there will just be hundreds of difficult creatures wandering around the world, getting killed off, and replaced my other ones.

    Really curious how they plan to do this without top guilds cleaning out the server and leaving nothing for late comers to find. Assuming they will just move mobs around and make it more challenging to find them. Would suck if everything was like Kerafyrm.

    yes.

     

    double yes..

         It was said that certain skill bonuses will be tied to weapons and gear such as "+20 leap".. So with the multi classing and all the skills, depending on your character profile, you'll have to have a variety of items so you can adjust your play style..   Now sure one can just find the perfect class build and never change and never needs more then one set of gear.. But as for others, with each class build (mage bane) you'll need a seperate set..
