Fans on Reddit have announced that the retail update for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now live. Players planning to get in on tomorrow's launch will want to update the launcher NOW to beat the rush.

    Around 1Gb update.

    All done now the wait continues.....

    Won't update if your personal shell folders point to a network location. You'll have to edit your registry to a local path to get it to patch.

    So I remember reading at some point in the past that if you purchased the original FFXIV that you would be able to get ARR for free. Does anyone know if this is still true?

    yes, you dont get to participate in early access though. only if you paid for 3+ months in 1.0 do you get to participate in early access.

    Pre-ordered but going to an anime convention tomorrow and Gamescom on Sunday, so can't play till Sunday night :( ahh well, it's not like I didn't make that decision myself xD

    starts at what 9am GMT tomorrow... although i have inputted my early access code..  there's actually no way of knowing whether it worked. Obviously the site i went to to put it in confirmed it.

     

    but no email receipt, doesn't appear on my account.. in fact the infrastructure sucks.. i have no way of knowing whether i'll log on tomorrow with no issues or the code never worked. (seems to be more websites and side websites than possible without any real linking or connection between them)

    Proper registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station is required.

    * Users participating in early access must also complete registration by August 30, 2013. Using the code enclosed with your package, please complete registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station.
