Final Fantasy XIV Score

Kinh021Kinh021 Member UncommonPosts: 30

Good morning,

When reading a bit more about FFXIV I got interested in the game though, too late for the open beta. I downloaded the Benchmark and ran in Standard Laptop with 2235 points.

I ask for those who played the beta test with this score, my laptop can run the game or is money out?

Thanks!

give it a shot by lowering all the settings that score is basicly skimming it to be a plausible experience. drop the resolution to the minimum and lower all the settings while taking the ones that increase preformance.

I know my cheap windows 8 lap top at the lowest settings gets up to 5500 or so and it has no video card and at that score it is indeed playable.

Also if you just so happen to have a ps3 this game is out on that platform also. pc and ps3 players will share the same servers and all. That is another option if you are interested in the game but do not wanna dish out for pc that can actually play it at moderate settings.

Standard Performance, I recommend turning your graphics down a bit more especially when in FATE's.

I hope you view this again my laptop got in the mid 3ks for close to max settings 5.5k for high settings at 720p and yet during phase 4 I could not hold a steady FPS for the life of me unless I switched to slightly above standard settings and I had to switch to 1600x900 I could not keep above 30FPS at 1080p.

The funny thing is I would drop from 50FPS down to the mid teens in the same area with the same amount of stuff going on.

So if your laptop can only manage in the 2ks for standard I would be cautious and I would recommend getting the PS3 version if that is an option for you.

Forgot to mention my laptop has a GTX 660m graphics card and an I7-3610qm CPU plus 8GB Ram so by no means is it a standard laptop.

Mine scored in the low 2000s also.  It was fine with the settings down.
