So when exacly am I suposed to get the early code?

I pre ordered FFIV today, I know a bit late! But it kinda flew under my radar! But I still do not have the early acces code? When will they email this to me? I want to start downloading already, since I have the digital colectors edition from there site and its a big download I guess.

you input the product key from your purchase receipt into SE website, should have gotten an email with receipt of purchase that has a link to the site you need to input product key.
that then takes you to another site that you have to log in game account and you will press a button to receive pre-order code(early access code) and you put that into the next link and thats it.

ignore that line. you should have gotten your product keycode, and a link where you enter that product keycode. which then gives you your pre-order code and provides a link to where you enter that code. once you enter that, you're in early access and you're done.

If you ordered it from Square Enix, you can go to Find My Order and get your code that way.

Log into the account and use the find my order as noted in the above post.
Even if you only get the pre-order codes, those will get you the EA codes once you associated the pre-order ones with your account.

The game itself is ez-mode. BUYING the game from SQEN's ultra screwball websites (since you end up going thru several) and getting it setup to be played is totally hardcore (and the most poorly executed account setup and purchase experience I've ever seen).
The only reason people can tell you what to do is because they already went thru it and extremely traumatizing events tend to stick in your memory.

Their account management is honestly bad enough they may actually have lost some customers over it that went back to amazon and cancelled their order or something.
