    thanks immortus!

where is that screenshot from? i registered my pre-order EU code and i don't remember it (maybe i am being senile....)

It's the 2nd stage of the pre-order process.

Basically, you click on the link at the bottom of the e-mail you recieved that said 'hey, you bought our game!'. It then takes you to a different page (completely separate from the one you access via your profile), which asks for your serial number. You put in your serial, then select whether you have an account already, and if you're PS3 or PC. Once you do that, it takes you to a new page that gives you your early access code. Click redeem, and it takes you to the page you see above.  Which basically shows you what you will recieve in addition to the early access.

At least I hope it's fine. lol

the PREORDER CODE is 18 digits!

the EARLY ACCESS CODE INCL. ALL PRE. ITEMS is 20 digits.

the preorder code is put in, then a mail arrives with the 20 digit code.  If you have an eu code, which starts with RAAE it still works, just remember to change the settings on your account to NA.

Do NOT swap 20 digit codes with anyone. You have no way of getting early access if you are scammed out of it.

ALSO IT TAKES NO EFFORT TO CREATE ACCOUNTS, AND USE PREVIOUSLY POSTED SCREENIES TO SHOW HOW TRUSTWORTHY THE METHOD IS.

    dont do it.

You cant change your region settings once you created your SE account. That is the problem here

Where do I check your region settings?

Also: for me it worked like this:

I set a preorder from a Swedish store (I am Swedish). They asked for my email and personal information. Then a couple days later, I get a code from them and instructions. The instructions take my to a EU square webpage, it asks me for my code and asks me to choose PC or PS3.  I choose PC, and it then gives me a new code and a link to where I can use that new code.

The link takes me from the EU website to a NA website, I enter my code, it accepts and all is nice and dandy.

(It was strange though that I was transfered to NA website, hope it doesn't matter later XD)

Just log in to your Square Enix account, look on the left hand side control panel, Click account information. There is an option to update account information but it wont allow u to change your region settings. It was also clearly stated when you first create your SE account that you cant change your region in the future once you have confirmed.

As long as you are able to key in your 20digit early access code you will be able to play tomorrow.

Good luck to those unfortunate ones like me who have played beta, committed a lot of time, pre-ordered the code but SE account is from another region. FML

You can buy early access codes for 2 bucks so not really a big deal.

Thanks. It says: "Country: Sweden", so I suppose I am registred to EU. Very odd though that I was sent to NA webpage before. Anyhow, the 20-digit code worked for me and FFXIV shows up under "Registered Games:" section, so I am good to go.

As for your misfortune, really hope they fix it before tomorrow:(.

Just a random question. Even if you manage to swap out the early access code that you need, wont you also need to swap out the game registration code once it goes live?

Also, does anyone know is Square Enix support is going to be doing region changes? My dumbass registered for Turkey for the beta but have  NA code that i cant use.
