Beware of phishing email

zakiyawowzakiyawow Member UncommonPosts: 626

People are reporting phishing attempt already.

The email claim that they reset your pre-order and asked you to login ( the site looks very close to SE official site but is not  )

Be careful not to all for it

Update info

SE send out one email exactly like that but the URL is legit.

The fake one will have a different URL when you mouse over it. It starts with link.email.  The links in the fake email all link to this fake site including it's twitter and facebook

    Yeah.

That Saudi prince really does want to give you $10,000.

If an email asks you to login, don't do it.

I got an email from Square about a month or so ago warning me about this you just have to check the senders email it doesn't match the real squares email it will usually have and L or a 1 instead of an I or it would be squareenix instead of the official email's square-enix.

I make it a rule not to click on links in emails, even when Im sure its a legitimate email.  Always go to the official site and find the link from there.
