Server transfers available at launch?

in Final Fantasy XIV
anyone know what the situation on this is? chances are you might get separated from your friends because a world is full or something....

    No, they are even planning on locking out character creation based congestion of starting areas.  So I'm assuming server transfers are out of the question for awhile.

    They already stated server transfers would be available 2-3 weeks after launch, but you will have to pay for it

    Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.
