That didn't take long for one to happen. Hopefully when servers come back online that everyone will be able to join the servers that they wish to join and there will be no more down time.
The Duty Finder crashed, so they are fixing it. Not too bad though, I got six hours of play in with no problems. Every area is completely packed. Most of the Legacy players aren't even in yet.

yea you notice there one spost this game is garbage and he thinks its going to go ftp
It's running remarkably smoothly, apart from whatever happened with the duty finder server. I suspect that the relative smoothness is due to the throttling, which some are not pleased about.
Originally posted by Digna I wonder when the 1st posters demanding money back or an extension to EA however they figure that would work, will happen....
No plans on either thanks. Just shared what was on FF14 website.
I shouted about how SE failed with a bugged duty finder after P4 noted several issues with it. The ensuing vitriol from the hardcore FF fanboys took down the entire NA continent. :P
Nah, it was just a bugged duty finder. Us level 20+ people were unable to do much at all.
It's too early to complain. I played 1.0 for a couple months and this is much better. I can live with a few maintenance outages during the first week or two of relaunch. As long as they are working diligently and stuff gets fixed. I have plans all afternoon anyway, so no biggie for me.

*Agreed*
Never too early to complain when you had this long to test core functions. If it was like some level 30+ thing that didn't get tested much, then sure. However, we are talking about the duty finder. Good lord, the thing is part of the tutorial!
I'm just glad they acknowledged the issue and took the servers down to fix the issue. Ignoring would not have been an option.
I hate launch days. Areas are too populated, queuing to get on your server, things breaking, things crashing and it's all hassle. Launch days are NEVER fun.

Now, I understand that bugs happen- my questions is why the Japanese servers are all still up? What did they do differently there? Were the NA and EU servers kind of an afterthought when it came to catching the bugs?
Just curious...
I'm just waiting for a F2P overhyped sandbox WoW clone with full PVP, epic raid bosses, instanced group content, and Crysis-quality graphics to come out. That, or something fun.

bug found that crashed the server mos tlikly or a bad error popped up normal release not a big deal unless they arent stable by the 27th

I'm glad they stress tested this. Otherwise the game would be crashing, people would have trouble loading, and systems would be breaking down.
Oh wait...
No plans on either thanks. Just shared what was on FF14 website.
Perhaps the issue came from the 1 gig download we all had to apply to our games that wasn't in the stress test. . . .
. . . nah, its easier to just complain. . .
So here's what happened...

I don't know I still had fun so far.

Well the fact the World list won't even generate for EU/NA servers means they have a bit more than a world problem.

Sorcery must persist, the future is the Citadel
That's just because every single NA/EU world is down. There's nothing to populate the list with.
