in Final Fantasy XIV

So I just bought the game through Amazon and was emailed the preorder code. Went to create an account on Square-Enix's (terrible) account management site and went to "select a service". I selected Final Fantasy XIV and it says "Code registration currently unavailable". Anyone know how to get this going?

    Read the instructions that came with your code. You're on the wrong site.
