Server wide

From what i heard from Yoshi-P he said that server are server Wide so pretty much we can talk and party and do dungeon together across the server.

But however this does not seems to be the case as i am unable to both add and party up with my friends across the server

I have try adding my from from US to JP but did not work and so i try from JP to JP with a different server but also did not work

But however i am able to add people in to friend list on the same server

and also i can make same Character name across the server like i make

Jan chocobo in Atomos

and i did make another character called Jan chocobo in Ultros

So this mean if we want to play with our friends we got to make sure we in the same server or is this a bug? i mean chopping all the server up in many piece is really a bad ideal

but letting people across the server to party up will be much faster in duty finder and able to play with friends, and also can maintain the lag from each server.

I hope this is a bug and they will fix it or if this is what it should be i will be really sad....

I am pretty sure if they can make duty finder cross server then it should not be a problem to add friends and chat too

i mean guild wars 2 is doing it already why not SE able to.

I mean i am not really trying to say FF14 is a bad game i just want to be able to play with my friends....

currently i have 5 friends from 5 different country and 5 different server, i would like to chat in-game with them

I am pretty sure they can make it happen in the future.

Linkshells may be cross-server, have you tried making one? And just because another games does it, it doesn't mean Square Enix wants to or even can do it.
