Where's the dang queue!?!?! Error 1017

in Final Fantasy XIV

Initially logged in and was placed in the queue at position 120 on EU Shiva server.  Then it popped up and said world is full, try again later (error 1017).  Now whenever I try I just keep getting error 1017.  

 

What the heck happened to the queue?  Am I suppose to just keep trying over and over and hope to get lucky?  I'd rather be position 2000 then stuck at my computer continually clicking over and over again to try and get a slot on the server.  SE needs to do something ASAP.

    Says to wait for an open position and try again?  How am I suppose to know when there's a damn open position!?

    same for me on ordin been like that for 20 45 mins now.

    all the eu servers are the same if you try to make an alt on another eu server they are all greyed out so it would seem every eu server is full to the brim :)).

    if this stays has irt is were head start is over.
