Server is up...nope full

In game finally...cant do much its broken

 

Anyone successfully cancel there preorder Im considering it at this point, maybe ill return when they let me play the game.

    Yep , we are reaching that critical stage...I like the game..i dont want to cancel...but, they need to fix it, or halt everything for a few months and relaunch the game for a 3rd time.

    Im getting incredibly frustrated with all these maintenance's, its getting annoying, but Im guessing Im not the only one feeling this way looking at most of the FFXIV related forum posts going up lately... :(

    Kinda sucks that the game is awesome, and so many people wanted to play it that the servers pretty much jumped off a roof. They're in the ICU now, I don't know if they'll make it.

    I'm curious are you all the same folks who stand in a massive line outside of an apple store when a new iteration of the iphone launches and are furious/surprised at how much time you waste?

     

     

    If you don't have the patience for a launch don't tout some excuse that it's 2013  wait a week until it calms down and the servers become stable it's simple.

     

    These threads remind me of black friday shoppers stampeding over people as they rush into wal-mart for the new deals...

    It's not the game itself but SE's poorly designed server setup; the in-game world itself is solidly supported in the server architecture, but in order to get to the world, or from the world into any instance, everyone has to be funneled through one login server and duty server respectively. It seems to me that these bottlenecks are the issue, and it's mindboggling that SE did not foresee these problems...

    However, we can use a little attitudinal adjustment too - we shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket, so-to-speak, when trying to overcome boredom. This just shows us that we are using this game as too much of a crutch. Find novelty in other ways for a bit and the game will be there eventually.

    Cancelling is kind of drastic but it is pretty lame how poorly this is going.

     

     

    Premium MMORPGs do not feature built-in cheating via cash for gold pay 2 win. PLAY to win or don't play.
