Honestly at this juncture there is no way to defend SE, The game is amazing but only for those who can actively participate/play it at the moment. Early access is not a Beta Test, If the issues are keeping a large group from playing (which they are) the best course of action in my opinion would be to take the servers down and fix whatever the issue is. Letting some people play while other stand idly by spamming only to get error 1017 is not a good look. Also there is no reason to not have a Queue in this day and age, Even if the queue says 3 hours at least you would not have to repeatedly press 0.... which is an exercise in futility and highly annoying.
The Running trend is to say "It's still early access everything will be fine by Tuesday." I do not share such an optimistic view and Cannot understand how anyone else could either. The main thing is they did not allow beta phase 4 to run long enough to sniff out all of the problems that would arise ...... and they did not properly test their "Fixes" from said beta test. I have not had access to the game for 27 hours and no I am not upset just slightly annoyed by their lack of communication.
The game its self is absolutely amazing and what I have played so far has secured my sub for them but the way they are handling this issue may make me put off entering my product key until they get it fixed. I paid for the game already but NO ONE has payed a sub fee yet. If the Subs had started then yes I would be pissed as paying for a service and not getting it is nonsensical.
I am fairly worried about the people who are just power crafting having a huge one up on locking down the economy, The rate at which gil drops and the (Soul/spirit binding of gear) pretty much ensures this will be a crafters wet dream. For anyone not leveling a trade the economy will probably look downright abysmal.

So this will the 4th or 5th time the servers have been down in the first 48 hours..I'm losing track. Might be more than that.
And they really haven't fixed anything yet. The downtime makes the game totally inaccessible instead of mostly inaccessible - that's about all they seem to accomplish.
Premium MMORPGs do not feature built-in cheating via cash for gold pay 2 win. PLAY to win or don't play.
