What's the difference between the engine modes?

in Dark and Light

Mine is set to 4 by default and I see no reason to change it, especially considering I haven't been able to log in yet.

Anyone know what the different modes are?

    camera mode 1 is to put a better spin on it dx7, the top camera mode is dx9.

    I know, its not using directx, but it makes it eaesier to understand :)
