I bought the original game (FF XIV)

in Final Fantasy XIV

I was just wondering, where do I download the game once its released? I tried logging into their website, but apparently my account shows no record of FFXIV, which is incorrect because I have the game sitting in front of me, I remember playing it while it was free, so they SHOULD have some record.

I am not sure what is going on, where do I download the game? I tried loading the original client to see if it would update, but it said its been cancelled and to check their update page for more information. I also tried logging into the ARR site, but it says "You could not log in because the service account in question is not registered. If you would like to log in to the service, please  log in to the Square Enix Account Management System and register the service account."

 

Have square enix screwed me over? : /

    Why would you buy FFXIV 1.0? Man, that game is completely,,,,let's just say it's completely turned off.

    Because back when I bought it, 1.0 was the only version around.

    I have some bad news man, while your 1.0 data will work in ARR. You have to buy FFXIV: ARR 2.0 in order to play it. That's why the price is discounted to 30 bux on PC and 40 bux on PS3 and 50 bux on PS4.

    Completely false information.

    As a 1.0 player, you will get ARR for free. You just don't get it until Official Release, which is tomorrow (the 27th).

    Players who own FFXIV version 1.0 will not need to purchase the PC version of FFXIV: ARR and will be able to download the FFXIV: ARR software for free.
    * Details on downloading the FFXIV: ARR software will be provided at a later date.

    Furthermore, users who have version 1.0 registration codes that have not yet been registered will be able to register them and play FFXIV: ARR on PC at the start of the service.

    There are links to the download here, but I would imagine that you will probably get an email or something this week with a link as well.

    You dont have to buy it again. If you owned 1.0 you get 2.0 free and 9 days of free play. Go to the forums and you will find a link to download the new client i think its still called Beta 4 client.

    Ive got the same problem, ive got the game  its sitting in front of me now and SE says I need to log in when I do it says email or login name or password are not correct. I ask for new password reset and I get my email does not exist I ask to regesiter and it says that my email is already in use go to Support have put in two tickets and no response. Im talking about 1.0 here. Not sure im gonna give em anymore money at this point. I mentioned in a comment last week that I remember some of the same problems when it first launched and I got a 1 day Ban from the good folks here.
