Not sure if he realises it, but... Yoshi admits that this is almost entirely a management problem.

The first instance, which was conducted six hours following the beginning of early access, was for the purpose of addressing the errors 90000 and 3000, which were first discovered during phase 4 of the beta test.

This maintenance proceeded as planned, and afterwards we verified that the stability of instanced battles and the duty finder was much improved. However, we then discovered that certain lobby servers had been improperly configured, and we were forced to conduct another brief maintenance to resolve this issue.

We have nevertheless decided to implement login restrictions for the time being due to the extremely heavy load being placed upon the servers.

Let's make sure we understand this, shall we.

In beta 4 we had 90000, 3000, and 3102.
At the end of beta 4 they implemented a fix for them, and then ended the beta WITHOUT TESTING THEIR FIX. They decided that they didn't need to actually stress test the servers with the new fix in place... Who would have possibly guessed that those errors would survive into the Early Access or the Release?

They then discovered that after implementing their new fixes the lobby servers were misconfigured... Is it possible that they would have discovered that during beta if, for example, someone had decided that they should test the fixes they were putting in place rather than just assuming they would work?

Now their management team has decided that queues are a bad thing and they are just going to leave up a message that tells people to keep hammering their servers with continual login requests... Does anyone else think that that is a recipe for being DDOS'd? And it would have been entirely unnecessary too, if they had taken appropriate metrics on resources per client/user when they had the chance(which they have implicitly admitted multiple times that they did not do).

TL;DR

To all the people bashing the devs, you are targetting the wrong people. All of the problems we have experienced, and pretty much anything we might find wrong with this game can be laid at the feed of their management and administration.
