Question about NON legacy original players

in Final Fantasy XIV

I've done some searching but the se site is so frigin unorganized I can't find anything... I remember getting an email a couple months ago stating that peope who bought the CE originally will get 2 free weeks of play time for the new FFXIV. I'm not a legacy user as I quit a month after buying the CE. Am I right in thinking I'll get some free play time? If so, where do I download the client?

    Well, I got the client from this place http://sqex.to/ffxiv_client_en

    Non legacy 1.0 player here that never recieved an invite for betas  or mail from square since 2010-early 2011.

    I entered my username and password and the patcher started downloading the client. 14 minutes left.

    Will update when the full thing is downloaded to say if I got the free days promotion.

    Well, I am in.

    It let me change the apperance, name etc of my previous chars but they where on full servers so couldn't log on them.

    Created on a non full server, playing the introduction right now.

     

    Edit: I am an EU player, already tuesday here.

    Thanks for the info, been looking for it. I'm also a non legacy player, I missed the qualification by one month.  I definitely want to give these developers another chance.

    Thanks for the help guys, I'm downloading now. I played a little bit of the intro in phase 2 and I had a good time, here's to hoping that this is a mmo I will actually stick with heh.

    So I logged in this morning (I'm in NA central time) and found out both my legacy characters on 2 different servers are intact! :D

    My main legacy character is on Gungir(JP) but most people I know are playing on Leviathan. I think I'll play on here or on my other legacy character until Leviathan opens up.

    Just a heads up to anyone else who played before the FFXIV armageddon that your characters might still be around even if you don't think they are.

    Anyways, cheers! Hit me up if any of you see me in game, all my characters have the same surname "sajxanin."
