They're complaining about how slow it is, and about how much of a grind this is. It's like they haven't touch an asian mmo before. They forget that this is an almost identical system to other mmos under a different name.

I lso can't believe they're also bashing the class system where changing weapon equals changing class. How is it different from creating a whole new character to play another class and go through the same old quest, just under a different name and look?

The only bashing I've seen is how they handled the servers, and the locking of character creation without a viable solution for you to play with your friends.

I've seen people say this game is terrible, slow, boring, grindfest and a work. Not that I care, but my friends were influenced by those remarks and decided to stop.

We're playing on the JP server, since it's closer to us, so we don't have any login problems.

I've been watching Youtube Videos on each class - and the combat looks terrible.

You use an ability and it looks like 2-3 secs before you can use another.

Granted I know some abilities have no GCD; but from what I can see - most do and it's brutal.

Frankly I can't see why so many people think this is such a good game.

    People like to complain.

Frankly I am having a lot of fun, its not a grind at all, always something to do, RPG heavy story line etc.  The game really starts getting goo at around lvl 15, once it has slowly brought you up to speed on everything (mostly) that you can do and have fun with in game.

Storyline is obviously the best in the MMO world at current, graphics as well...Crafting is better than most MMO's especially all games under a themepark label.

In comparison to lets say TSW, Rift  etc...this blows them out of the water imo...i couldnt get into either of those games...always got bored within an hr or two and turned them off for a week.  With this game ...I have played all damn day lol  and I have not done this in quite some time.

Best MMO out atm and easily best release of 2013!.

Crap phone not loading causing me to multipost... How do you delete posts?

People were also complaining about quest leaving you hanging. They don't know where to go next. Trust me, I've heard a lot.

To each is own, not everyone likes RPG's....but this game is setup really well...I cant think of any other MMO that you could state is any better atm.

I played Darkfall 1 for 3 years that was my combat game but it lacked on so many other levels...all other MMO's out there just bore the hell out of me, FFXIV has a strong Story, great graphics and the PVE is good, much better than say GW2 imo which is one game i am so upset i spent 60$ on.  Crafting is really decent, some based on luck rolls but overall much better than any non sandbox MMO i have played.

And the skills would appears slow if they are newer characters...., you can eat food, wear armor, jewelry that will speed up skill use....dont judge it based on early youtube vids.

If you dont want to try without a good review...just wait on it...But Im positive you will not find a bad review when they come out unless its written by a add kid that is upset about the login issues.

Most reviews out there are 5/10 or lower. They also stated all the complains I heard about.

I completely agree, whoever said this was a grind is either misinformed about what grinding is or is a complete moron.  This game gives you exp for everything.  I wish the exp wasnt handed out on a silver platter like it is.  However, the gameplay and story have me hooked.  Ive dabbled in a few mmo's since ffxi but none of them i played for a week to a month at longest.  There is so much to do before you know it youve been playing for six hours and didnt even realize this.  The combat is so fluid and addictive and the story, music and graphics are top notch.  Thank you Square enix for this wonderful game.

Think they fixed that issue yesterday evening...didnt have any problems today.

But regardless of what a few complainers are stating...I will say that the servers are packed and pretty much 90% or more in the chats are loving the game...Forums are a bad place to look for a good review.

Some of the complains I heard are that the quest for the starts being the same. Also, trainin g subsequent classes are a pain and boring. You kill the same thing again, and killing monsters above level leaves you dead.

Not really..., there are three different starter cities so far that I have seen, each has 3 class guilds involved..or 2 cant recall atm.  so basically if you want to switch from being a lancer to an arcanist the guild you will train from is in another city therefore killing different mobs and different quest lines.

That is to the best of my knowledge anyways as i created two character obviously different classes and guilds are setup in different locations with different quests.

That's what I said too, but they still find it boring and a chore to train a separate class. They also find some of the classes boring. Trying to recall all those stupid complains are hard.

In getting my MAR from 1-8 I did only my two class quests, 7 ranks of my hunt log, and 5 or 6 FATEs.  Granted, i had a 20% exp boost from my preorder item but it went by fast.

There is a system in place where you get a big boost to FATE experience when you have a high level character.  Also every 5 levels you get to add a new cross class ability to spice things up.

Apparently, not many skills per class means boring to them. I still can't figure out why they bash on all these. All the other games uses the same fomula, so bashing this means you're bashing your favorite games.

The FFXII's combat system is boring, I thought it will be more "tactical" but nope... the mob can hit u if you are behind, a lot of quests with secuences... even if the quest is about "kill 10 mobs", how can be a city divided in 3-4 zones? I felt like if i was playing a FF... I hate zones in mmorpgs! And no pvp, when i saw a healer just healing the other's wounds in a quest zone without group I thought "WTF am I doing here? where are the PKs?" xDD

I'm tempted to buy it only for the housing, chocobos, crafting system, class system and the "future RvR".I like RAIDs and DUNGEONs but I don't want to be doing PvE almost all the time!

Is it weird if I say that Wildstar looks more interesting...? XD

This is a personal opinion!! I only played the CBT this month!

    Soz for my english! :D:D
