No Logout Timer?

I heard that one of the reasons why so many people are having trouble logging into the servers is that SE did not implement a automatic logout for inactive chars. 

So once people are actually getting in, they are just leaving themselves logged in all day / night.

 

Not sure if this is entirely true but if it is, that seems like a fairly ridiculous oversight on SE's part, especially considering that this is their third MMO release.

    That figure reason why I'm getting the 1017 code. The world stay full with no logout timer. Sad, sad, sad.

    Ive heard this too on the forum. But ive been kicked out due to being afk for to long.  Maybe its just my account or my connection that logouts  for SE.... I dont know but ive been kicked a few times for inactivity, nothing says this but everytime I went afk for longer than 20 min I get disconnected.

    I dont think its my connection cause Ive played for Hours straight and its never happened

    I remember when Aion launched.  Aion had the exact same issues.  Too many players, including all the gold farmers staying logged into the game without a feature to kick them off when they are afk too long.  If I remember, it was about a week or two before they patched it in order to fix the issues.

    Sadly I had a flashback of all the troubles with the first week(s) of Aion as soon as I heard there was no afk kick feature.

    I'll still play this game but, I give it two weeks before I give up on this game simply because when you are actually in game it is awesome.

    There is no AFK logout.  2 of my friends have been on the game AFK in Gridania for 2 days.  Haven't moved, haven't leveled.   I've been on since early this morning, I was AFK longer than expected at one point (playing while working..)  and yea, there's nothing that kicks you out at all.

    So, I suffered all weekend with the World is Full nonsense.  So I know what people are going through - I just don't understand why they don't implement the queue they had before.   Even if we had to sit in a queue for an hour to get on, it's better than the error basically telling you to take a hike.

    Oh well - still launch day, considering there's a billion people crawling over eachother in the world right now, I'd say a large portion of people can play, and those are the ones that will call it a success.
