Was ARR launched early in Japan or was it the same day as Europe and North America? I know that some games have several months or even years between. Just curious.

one of the main reasons I joined this game. I hated how other MMOs like Aion , koreans get the patches several months earlier and then NA, and then few months later EU. so bad just so bad.
with FFXIV, everything is on global level and cross platform

while i agree that i prefer everyone getting content at the same time i think if they have the patches way before we do we have enough time to see how good or bad that content is and either accept it or boycott the whole thing until they fix / change it

It actually seemed to have launched at around 6am japan time ~= 6pm us time(going off lodestone post).. but there you have it.
