Whats your technique to getting into the game server?

in Final Fantasy XIV

For me it takes me no more than 10 minutes any given day to get into my server. I have gotten queues and also the 1017 error with no queue.

 

 

Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

    I spam it for a while, take a break, repeat. Not working at all though. Haven't been able to get in since Sunday.

    I'm just waiting for a F2P overhyped sandbox WoW clone with full PVP, epic raid bosses, instanced group content, and Crysis-quality graphics to come out. That, or something fun.

    I was able to get in when I tried logging in at around 4 in the morning. (No, I didn't wake up for this, was working something till early in the morning)

    One or none for me.  I got quite a bit of play time in during early launch so I'll let others have their cake if I see the server is full. Besides, I've got plenty of steam games in the pile that need attention.

    Log in around 6am only once since early access was i meet with a que.

    Believe it or not, some things like mining and joining the server is best done using a controller.

    i work second shift hours.  so when i get home after work i usually have no problem getting in but in the mornings i have to spam it for about 5-10 min.

    I spam the 0 key on the number pad. Been at it an hour now, and no dice. I did manage to get into a queue once 20 minutes ago, but was disconnected from the server while waiting.

    1-4 min spam did the trick most times. My alts have to be on a Japanese server because of the NA lock out, but it runs silky smooth from state side mid-west. Hope we see a free server transfer period at some point, but i'm having fun.

    This game would be 100 times easier to log in if they would boot off people who are inactive, I think half the people on just stay logged in 24/7 to avoid log in issues.

    I have a logitech mouse that can psuedo macro.  I have the right mouse button set up with a repeated, delayed numpad-0 input.  

     

    Login to character select and manually try to get in via numpad-0 spam then anchor down the mouse and put a weight on the right mouse button.

     

    It has worked for me the past few nights and takes approximately 15-20m to get in.

    i just press x on the control and try join.  the slowdown for me is loading the screens so a macro wouldnt speed much up.  i got in yesterday in 3 minutes at 8pm and just now with no wait not even a queue

    Wait 3 minutes at character select before trying to enter world. Doesn't take long. Works better than spamming

    There may be something to this actually.  Two nights in a row I was doing the spam 0 while watching whatever reality crap my girlfriend had on.  After about 10 minutes I'd get irritated and walk away.  When I came back it signed in instantly with no queue.  Both times were about 7PM.

    I dont see how people can have so much problems trying to log in. I, myself, just bought the game, installed it, logged it, made a character then i tried joining EU server's(but sadly they're full/not letting me in/telling me they locked the world) so i just joined one of the Open NA servers ( 4open NA servers left at that time)

    I know i'm not playing on the server im going to play the rest of the time, but atleast im enjoying the game and i can try stuff out.(no qeue to get in either)

     Not really... Yoshi basically said not to expect it any time soon.

    Log in right before I leave for work so I can play when I get home. Otherwise I get home(primetime hours) and spend all of my time to play getting 1017. I bet this is a non-issue in another week. Right now everyone is in mmo launch mode (call into work, skip school, no sleep, 24/7 caffine grind). Once everyone goes back to normal work/school and sleep schedules it will fix itself.
