Did they wipe beta character ?

Hi !

        I'm gonna install the game back, i played a little bit during the beta test and i've been checking some footage on twitch and noticed many peoples are already level 50....   Did they wipe at the end of beta ?

    Not after the last beta weekend no.  And, there were 50s before launch on legacy servers :P.

    They're legacy characters from the first iteration of FFXIV. It's not very common to release a game, take it down, remake it and then re-release it. But the people who played the first time got to keep their stuff.

    If you played in the 4th beta test and all of early access you can easily be 50.

    I've seen several 50s on behemoth already and its not legacy. I wish I had that kind of free time =P
