I found this site quite a long while ago when I typed mmorpg in google. I didn't register until quite a bit later though, seeing how I never actually went to the forums until much later.

Also found this site via googling mmorpg.

As you can see from registration date i found this site long time ago, back then it was a very quiet forum so i figured i stumbled upon it in its infancy.

It was my friend who gave this site to me. He said that there's a lot of pretty good game in this site and it so happen that I'm looking for another good game to play that time. Joining here is really a nice experienced for me. I learned a lot in terms of games, techniques, etc. Forums/communities here are really active and great! This is the best site I've ever been on...image<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

the site is so big because simply we have the name MMORPG.com which makes it sound so much better to developers etc and prolly initially gave us the boost by making devs more willing to provide us with content. then the advertising came and now it is still the largest site of the kind.

Well me and some friends many years ago were talking about making a mmo web site of our own, and I tested to see if the domian was availabul so I punched in mmorpg.com

It was a mixed feeling for me when I found it. LOL.

I found this site through a reccomendation of a friend. At first I was just a lurker on the Guild Wars forum reading about the game...then as I got more and more annoyed at the flame threads I finally decided to make an account and start speaking my mind. Then I decided to take up residence here in the off-topic forum....

Probably over 75% of the members sign up for the contests and never post more than 3 times.

ya and a whole bunch of inactive members half of whom never claim always win.......

its not fair i know from a technical standpoint we stand a better chance as individual members because we are more active . but their are maybe 4000 "active members" if that, and half of them arent as active as kiamde,me, murt etc. or most of them arent.

i think the scales should be tipped towards the more active members.

the only one i can think of who has actually won is mistergus.

I simply stumbled upon the site by typing in "mmorpg.com"

that, of course, was when the site had a green layoutimage

Typed MMORPG into google in about 2003 and found the site, I was looking for a game to replace EQ1.

At the time I wasnt much into forums because I didnt like reading about behind the scenes of my MMO's because I found it broke the suspension of disbelief in game if you talked to much about the mechanics of them on forums. Ignorance is bliss remember !

Then started reading the Pub and one day someone posted something I thought was BS so I took up my tagling "Im somewhat of a bull$hitter myself, but I enjoy listening to an expert, please go on." and decided to make one of my usual incoherant rants to argue with them as my first post.

The rest, as they say, is history.

2 years, or more, ago I was starting to get interested in MMORPGs... I had played Runescape and another one which name I can't remember... So I decided to google for mmorpg and I found it... I initially made an account for the contests. I then started to post with that account and I eventually got banned. My other account was Zepe (I guess Im not that creative ::7).
