Guys im just wondering how the bots are able to go inside and play.? do they buy the codes also.? The game just started and im seeing a lot of bot and gold sellers in game which will ruin the game in the future. And they add up to the server quota thats why players are unable to play instead of BOTS swarming the place already.

I have to agree, if they purchase the game they are entitled to play the game. Ofc if they are botting they will most probably get caught.
The downside of most popular MMO's is that we will see gold sellers/botters, if there was no demand then the problem would not exist, point the finger at those players that insist on purchasing items/currency from these ppl as the real problem.
Bots are everywhere... in every mmorpg no matter how much does it cost.
People/companies with bots are usually stealing accounts in order to play, but it doesn't mean they never buy them.

1) They buy accounts to start farming quickly.
2) They then steal/hack other players' accounts.
Some asshats who probably tried to buy gold have already gotten their accounts stolen. It happens pretty often in all mmorpgs, especially right after they launch and the initial launch is on.
Choy
They are trying to cash out as quickly as possible. The game just launched, it has a huge amount of issues, and SE's resources are all being focused on getting those server issues ironed out. Its a perfect time for the farmers to take advantage of this while the devs are looking the other way.
But maybe, just maybe, SE prepared properly and already have safeguards in place to combat the bots and stolen accounts.
Botting is not playing. Maybe you're thinking multiboxing? They're not the same. Multiboxing is 1 person playing multiple characters. Botting is one person with one or more automated characters, normally run 24/7 to gain gold/gil to sell, and is against the TOS of most mmo's.

they can play the game if they don't use trading post or spam websites in general chat. botting is cheating. this isn't p2win f2p garbage that you can just cheat your way to the top. this is why people pay sub games, to get away from this bullshit.
Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)
Because someone realized that with a pve game as large as FFXIV - for the first 3-6months at least, there will be such a population boom that folks will be desperate to get ahead. The western market will dwindle down over time, the majority chunk moving on to the next best thing of the year, while the hard core anime' fans and fans of the RPG stay on. Then the final push to appease an overseas Asian market will kick in with an expansion at this point - and bots will probably still find it viable to be here.
OMG man, the inflation was insane. hawker +1 daggers were 60k when I started playing. A year later...they were 230k...just kept going up...

My opinion
I still remember camping for thief's knife and seeing sleeping boters claim the spawn. After making a gm call they claimed they were legit and did absolutly nothing to them lol ( it took the boter about 3-5 minutes to react from getting hit) Its one of the reason i dont support FFXI lite this time around.
It takes money to make money a lot of the times.

Oh how I remember those days. I remember camping Orctrap in carpenters landing just to claim a NM that the botters weren't camping. I still laugh when the P2P white knights claim that a sub model keeps out certain types of players and riff raff. The fact is, botters and people with piss-poor attitudes are in every game regardless of the payment model. So yes OP, botters do pay the fees because as long as people buy gold and accounts, they can make a profit. It happened a lot in games at the top of the food chain (WoW) to games that have a low player base.

Its funny how people instantly hate on bots on every game, I have personally nothing against them. Only harm they do is on the game company itself because its a loss of money for them, which isnt really true for subscription based games to begin with. If anything its good for the customers because you have a way to catch up on something that you would not otherwise had time to get or achieve because of say, work, but have the income to pay other people to get for you.
I support gold sellers. I dont have time go get the very best of the best, but I still want to enjoy the game and am willing to pay for the enjoyment.
Also let me add that not every gold selling company necessarily has to hack players accounts or bot. Some of them simply get the goods by paying their workers to play wisely and use the tools given to them in game. Good example of this would be in any game that has trading post or equivalent: You can gain infinite amounts of money if you play your cards right and keep on doing it and it takes next to no time, they can then proceed and sell their gainings for other players for real money.
It is all business.
One way to stop gold farming is to start banning buyers, like yourself, with the same zero tolerance policy. Start wasting the buyer's money and you'll see the market dry up rather quickly.
That would make no sense on subscription based MMOs, because botters do no harm on the company. Banning its playerbase would do.
Also the buyers are harmful for no-one either if the game houses a cash shop because theres a good chance the said players use that aswell. If a gaming company is stupid enough to ban those valuable paying customers, they'd lose a good slice of their income.
EDIT: I'm fairly certain that if the company which' game I'm playing would ban me for buying in game money from other sources than directly from them, I would not bother coming back to that game because they are not 1. willing to take my money and 2. punishing me for using my own hard earned cash the way I want to.
in other words that would be legal robbery, no court would punish the company for doing that, but I imagine the robbed person is willing to have anything to do with the robber after that point.
This is a pretty narrow-minded view on the issue imo. I disagree and have been a part of many MMO's where the economy has suffered because of price hikes and inability to complete certain tasks because of bots and farmers. I can agree that not all bot companies rely on hacking, but the rest I disagree with. Also, if you don't have the time or want to put in the effort, maybe MMORPG's aren't for you but to claim they are good for the game and hurt nobody because of your inability to achieve things in the game is silly.
