I'm not new to MMO launches so I'm used to the problems associated with them - but - I shouldn't be...we all shouldn't be.
Can you imagine what would happen if you walked into a car dealership...bought a car..sat in it and it didn't work? Then the salesman tells you..."Oh..we're sorry...the engine's not available right now....but it will be soon!" Well this is the the same thing!
I purchased a retail copy...one of only 2 left out of a big display on Friday only to find out that I couldn't even CREATE a character! By late Saturday morning I'm able to finally create a character only to get a repeated server disconnect notice.
Now granted....the developers were thinking since the 1st version sucked...people were going to be cautious and it would take a while for the servers to hit capacity. But...with absolutely NOTHING happening in the MMO genre right now players are grabbing onto anything that has potential - and this game has that potential.
IMO - it's always better to prepare for launch day properly and scale back later than to piss off players and potential customers who may not come back.
We should not have "gotten used to" bad launches...there's really no excuse for them - that's what BETA TESTING IS FREAKING FOR!
Currently playing SWTOR and it's MUCH better than it was at launch.

So what you're saying is.. you didn't do a simple Google search to find out they will have server fixes in place on Monday/Tuesday....
When I buy a car.. I look up the reviews, ratings, listen to actual customer reviews, etc before plopping down my money.
Hell I follow that rule with EVERYTHING anymore. I don't go to a restaurant without checking the reviews first. (not fast food cause that's just silly and hit-or-miss)
