So with all the maintenance have they fixed anything? Have they added any servers?

Title says it all. Have they fixed anything yet or added any servers? I don't feel like they have because I get constant login errors. It's been over a week since early access. I check the news on the launcher which just looks like more login issues. If anyone could elaborate on what steps are being taken to fix these issues that would be great.

You cant patch in more server capacity and new servers man. You have to wait until they are purchased, installed, tested, ect.
Still the same date as before, Wednesday, for the new servers. Still getting 7 extra free days of game time due to the issues.
All they have been doing is resetting login servers as they crash (cant load server list) and occasionally resetting live servers.
They haven't done maintenance, and doing maintenance wont fix what you are complaining about.
so why does it take SE so long to put up new servers? I think they said they started the process in beta 4. well its been two weeks. I am pretty sure wow and swtor had servers up the same day/next day when populations were getting out of hand.
I also realize that adding tons of servers on day 1 or 2 will mean population issues a month or so down the road. But you really cant launch a game and not allow people to play for so long.

I hope no one ever has to host anything on a server you prep then.

They stated they wouldn't fix the server thing til Tuesday.
I have been on for greater than 9 hrs today. Hit lvl 16 so far. Stepped away for my kids shower, and then back to gaming. Not a bad labor day weekend.
That's funny I guess the twitter news feed for FF14 where the word maintenance is used on many specific dates and times as well as the launcher having the same news again with specific dates and times. Plus the servers going down for maintenance at the times they described for maintenance...
So I did some digging and found an entire forum dedicated to when the servers had maintenance.

Read the red again. You said they didn't do maintenance, they clearly have. I'm not attacking you. Your statement was false. Are you trying to say any time they did maintenance all they did was reset a server? I would like some serious explanations as to what they are doing, hence why I was digging for sites with information. I had hoped for some more knowledge on the subject and informed answers to my questions.
Also some people said Tuesday and some Wednesday for the new servers. Anyone have an official link to the time/date?

I can't believe, to be honest, that this would have been hard to find independently, being as it is a sticky at the official forums. But, anyway ...
Thanks. I actually only looked up the official forums and found them when I started this thread. I tried navigating by clicking the read more news button on the launcher which brought me to a webpage that had a scholar picture pop-up with two options: Promotion website or loadstone, I kept going to the promotion site. Plus I'm lazy and your helpful.

Try a MUD today at http://www.mudconnect.com/New worlds will be coming early this week. They've said this before. The maintenance is mainly just to stabilize things as much as possible until all the new servers are ready.
And, as someone else said you can't really patch in server capacity. Sure you can optimize things but well you have to find things to optimize first, do it, test, fix bugs, then launch it. That would take a lot longer than adding a server.
Internal testing right now,if that goes well they will do ALL WORLD maintenance on Wednesday,so sorry you will have to remain calm until Wednesday.
Nobody will be charged for lost time,so no stabbing the screen with forks and knives :P.

so what are the odds that things will work relatively well when the new servers are up? I dont mean run great or even smooth, that is too much to hope for now. I just mean that the majority of people can actually get on.
I have a feeling that many people that got on only for a short bit on the current servers will jump ship to the new ones for a fresh start and no 50's.
Guess I am just not very optimistic about this. Hope I am wrong.
From Yoshi's post, I really dont think they are hanging their hopes on the new servers. Instead what I read from his post is that they hope that they have a fix for the duty finder problem, and if that works then they will be able to (slowly) up the maximum logins to the originally planned server limit of 5k. So best case, dont expect to be able to easily login immediately when the servers come up. They are going to raise the limit carefully.
But before that, it is an open question of whether the fix to duty finder will work. I give it 65% chance. IIRC, they had a fix to duty finder before that turned out to not really fix it.
