Server Transfers

in Final Fantasy XIV
Okay, so...tried for 3 days now to get in a friends server, but it's not happening.  That said, have they 100% said there will be free server transfers and would it be before they add in arenas?  Or should I just keep trying on the server they are on?

    Nothing about them being free, but there will be server transfers here in the next couple weeks, or at least should be.

    Don't know, but there is supposed to be enhanced capacity on existing worlds in addition to the new worlds, once the new servers go live in 2 days

    Could someone please cite a source for the info of new servers, etc? People have talked about it both here and in-game, and it seems obvious enough they should expand and add, but I can't figure out where they got the info.

     

    If they add new servers to which they do not allow transfers, I'd likely hop on that. I've learned alot in the past week and wouldn't mind starting over.
