This game remember my childhood when I played games without rushing or being competitive, I just love do every story quest/class/graphics/art style/crafting.
I know this game isn't so different and less perfect than others MMORPGs but I don't know I keep playing and can't stop, I never liked a MMORPG like that before maybe is just because none of them fit with my playstyle/art style like this Final Fantasy.
I just think the biggest reason is the job system make this game so alive with a lot of people crafting/low lvling/re-doing same quests, maybe the biggest accomplishment is job system made this game a real MMORPG like some oldschools MMORPGs ex Ultima Online/tibia/ragnarok and etcs.
I can't believe this MMORPG is a remake and they did everything like so much polishment, I think this game with some 2~3 expansions will be so f**** good and Yoshida played some of the best PvP MMORPGs on the market like DAOC and UO, I believe this game will not be only good at PvE.
ok I'm a fanboy, but I play MMORPGs since 2000. I think this is something.

Something being there and wanting to to do it are two different things.

But you cant say its lock on pve content if you haven't done it, you dont know how long its gonna take you to clear it. If by end of next week you will have completed everything, then yes its lack of content, but for now its not.
For me, the game has a feel to it that vanilla WoW did. It has a "buzz" to it. The people who are playing are having a lot of fun with what they are doing -- not just going through the motions to get to cap ASAP and get BIS by tomorrow night. It has an atmosphere that WoW did at the very, very beginning in late 2004 and early 2005 in that there are people everywhere, and people are doing all kinds of things and generally having a great time doing it. I am a participant in several different linkshells, and the attitude of the players in this respect has been startling and refreshing at the same time.
And, from my perspective at least, totally unexpected in light of the utter abortion that was FFXIV ver. 1.0.
