People actually thought this would magically solve all the issues lmfao! Wonder how many of the se supports are actually se employees at this point. I wouldn't doubt if they are paying people to post on forums to make issues sound less then they really are in the hopes of getting people to buy the game

    Yep. Read it.

Problem is, this has nothing to do with that. This is not a case of "deliberately limited logins".

3102 means You've been kicked from the game, but the game still thinks you're logged in, so you're unable to log in again.

    You're essentially in Limbo.

It's a bug that came up and prevented thousands from logging in during Open Beta, and is now happening again (because they didn't bother to extend open Beta to properly test the fix before calling it "good!" and moving forward).

It's not a "traffic control" method.

    ... Better luck next time?

how long have you been stuck in limbo the server kicks you sooner or later

Very easy to solve the problem, open 50 more server, allow legacy server players transfer to new server. It's terrible experience to play on legacy servers.

Logged into the launcher, deleted my old character on the JP servers, created new, named character, selected Diablos server, and now I'm in (no queues, errors, etc.).

Haven't tried logging out and back in yet, but we'll see how it goes I suppose.

Won't server transfer be a feature later in the game?  It's probably locked for now to allow new player populations to get more in line with the levels of the legacy players.

Heh.. Well he gets the technical parts right.

But then he immediately does the apologist routine of attempting to make it seem like it wasn't a big deal, and it was all just the people "being unreasonable".

And of course, he demonstrates another typical attitude displayed... because he was able to log in and play, he can't understand why those who can't are "so upset".

Meanwhile, it's now almost 2 weeks later, they're still having issues, people are still unable to log in or play... even after the big maintenance that was internally tested for several days, and intended to "fix everything".

The more time that goes by, and the more issues that keep coming up, and the longer people are unable to log in or play, the more ridiculous these apologists look. Sadly, the only ones who don't realize it, are the apologists themselves.

    It varies.

Some get out of it relatively quickly. Some can be stuck in it for hours.

So legacy players can't log in until 6 months after? That's not a very smart solution. At the moment legacy servers, especially JP ones, are hard to log in as fuck on prime time due to 1017 issues after maint, and I don't feel like starting brand new character on new servers. I can't server transfer and get the fuck out of here, I don't want to start from scratch.

New players can just start from scratch on lower population new servers, it doesn't change the fact that legacy servers has twice amount of players trying to log in every night.

Where you getting six months from?  It should be much faster than that.

If you don't want to start a new character I suggest you dig deep and try to enjoy your time with your high level on a vastly improved game.  Otherwise, start fresh and enjoy a new game.  It's not like it's difficult to level.

Dig deep with 1017? Lol. I can't log in since launch, even after maint, the only way to solve the issue is more legacy servers, and now you're telling me to play a game I can't play? lol.

SE did said something about only allow transfers between legacy servers if I remember correctly.

If there are 10k players trying to log on every night on every legacy server, but only 7.5k limit per server(was 5k limit before maint), there's no way legacy players can log in if amount of legacy server stay the same, even after server transfer. Because you can't get out of legacy server to new servers.

Newer server players has no issue, because there aren't large amount of returning players on newer servers.
