Sinister Swarm is coming to Eorzea! [Cactuar][Focused Casual]

Hello Everyone!
 

Sinister Swarm has finally come to Eorzea!

We are an active community that isn't your one trick pony, we have active chapters in various different games. What are those other games? Well I am glad you asked.

 

Our gaming community has active chapters in games like Neverwinter; Tera; GW2; Star Trek Online; Marvel Heroes; and our newest FFXIV ARR, with eyes on TESO and Wildstar in the future.


While we do have a bunch of chapters with different games going on we also have lots more. You can check out our Swarm Game Nights lobby and play games like Warframe, Vindictus, Team Fortress Classic, or League of Legends on any given night.

Want to go back, then you can also check out our RPG - Pen and Paper room where we have classic campaigns being run on a virtual table.
 

For FFXIV ARR we will be starting on the Cactuar server where we spent our time beta testing as a Free Company. We have people in our community from all over the world so no matter what your time zone we will have people online to play with.


Sinister Swarm has something for everyone. We are not just a guild but a community of gamers that enjoy having a great time just spending time in Ventrilo with each other.

    Been very active in this community for about 1 year. Great people from all walks of life. We offer community events and a great atmosphere. Honor and loyalty above all else and no potty mouth so great for families who want to game with their kids.

    Been playing with the Swarm in Beta and we are very excited about this game. We look forward to you joining us in exploring and destroying in PVE and eventually also in PVP

    The Swarm are the best guild I have been in.  This is a true group of great people.  We have a lot of fun in Vent and I cant wait to play this game with everyone.  Come check them out, you wont be sorry.

    I noticed the PnP events in your OP. Do you have active RP'ers and are they going to be playing FFXIV?

    We do have people in our community that enjoy RP, but I cant say with any certainty that they will be playing FFXIV.

    Me and My wife and our roommate are all in this guild, It runs the full gamut of people and most everyone I've run into is respectful and helpful. It's family friendly in if you're one with kids and they are around or play games with you, a higher up in one of the other chapter plays with her whole family! =D  I can't speak specifically about RPers, but me and my wife and roommate all RP extensively even if there is no official guild support for it. That being said, if there is enough demand for any type of focus the leaders are open to ideas for events or subforums and things like that. (I'm positive there are subforums in other chapters exclusively for RP).

    But for people who want to troll or can't watch their mouths in public conversations this isn't the guild for you. But virtually anyone else, gender(s), creed, ideology, sexual orientation, or race wanting a mature, active guild I can't recommend The Swarm highly enough.

    I really enjoyed the Open Beta a lot and Cactuar is also where I played in Beta Phase 3. The community on that server is terrific! I notice you mention the guild is family friendly but what about people of the LGBT community? We've got a little less than a full week before headstart begins and I'm actively searching for a guild right now on the Cactuar server. I'm a gay gamer and, although I can't see any reason why that would be an issue, one thing I can't stand is hate speech like "that's so gay" or "you suck get out of here homo" or anything related to that type of chat.

    I'm looking for a friendly guild that is essentially a mix bag of gameplay, which it seems your guild has. I pve and like to occasionally rp and am looking for an in game family to enjoy this ah-may-zing game with! So I was just curious about your rules or policies on hate speech or if you're open to accepting LGBT members into your ranks.

    This is a good question ...First let me say that we are Swarmers . We have members from all walks of life and around the world.

    I can say for myself that I am not much of a RP but does not mean that there are not members who do.

    We ask all members to do a  hang up  there coat and hat before logging in with the swarm.

    What I mean is there are some subjects we just don't talk about  and they are as follows 

    1. Race 

    2. Religion 

    3. Politics

    Over the years we learned that these 3 items are nothing more than Drama bombs so we keep them on the outside in the Real World (RL).

     

    When you Join the Sinister Swarm you become a Swarmer.  You join a Community that been Standing tall for 14 years

    I want to thank you all for bringing me into this awesome community! FFXIV is now my third game with the Swarm. Came in when Neverwinter was released. Helped re-establish the chapter and was an officer for a while in Rift. And now, I am here in FFXIV! I am proud to call myself a Swarmer. Hail Swarm!

    Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, we are still recruiting into our active gaming community. For our FFXIV chapter we are growing strong with over 100 members in our FC. Some are still leveling and we offer a bunch of support inc fate grinding groups and story duty runs. We also have quite a bit running endgame as well trying to get kills under our belt.

    We even have a schedule for the different Company Buffs which are always changing depending on feedback from our members, currently its something like this.

    Sunday- The Heat of Battle
    Monday- Earth and Water
    Tuesday- Helping Hand
    Wednesday- Live off the Land
    Thursday - That Which Binds Us
    Friday- Meat and Mead
    Saturday -Proper Care

    Hey Cactuar if your looking for an FC to call home you have found it. Sinister Swarm is much more than an FFXIV FC we are a gaming community that puts the Community first over any game. We pride ourselves in being a group of mature gamers with a laid back nature that isn't afraid to get our hands dirty while we work on progression. PvP? Absolutely! In every chapter the Swarms presence is felt via PvP, and we are looking forward to establishing ourselves in Eorzea once PvP is implemented.

    We do have a few rules and regulations that you can read through at our forums under Critical Info. We do not tolerate drama and using offensive language is a no go, if we still have your attention and you consider yourself an honorable gamer that doesn't exploit or grief but still commands respect via your gameplay on the battlefield, come visit us online or whisper me in game for more info and a FC invite. Trust me this will be the last gaming community you will join.

    We currently have groups to run Fates for lower level classes, 2 groups of Coil runs (one runs earlier for EST folks and one later for PST folks) and of course we help run for Tomes/Relic quests/Chimera/Hydra etc...

    We also have some people dedicated to crafting to help gear or just get you some HQ turn ins for levee's.

    If you are looking for a casual bunch that like to do end-game while still helping those at the start or mid level parts of the game check us out.
