In our weekly comic, artist Blaz Klaric brings us his irreverent look into the foibles of the MMO worlds we love, and love to hate. Check out "Event" and then leave us your thoughts in the comments.
The Best Event experience in SWG was the phase four Sith Shadow attacks on Village of Aurilia. The event lasted for 60 minutes, followed by a 30 minute cool down. The combat was RPG (Tab Targeting & 1-12 skill casting), players worked as a team. The simple AI was viscous. It was better than any PvP seen in the last 15 years.
And it's gonna happen again in 30 minutes anyways...
Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
Originally posted by Jeauseoff This is funny somehow? Cause NO events is WAY better right?! Hm. Jaded much?
Mechanical, repetitive events are just as shitty as any other content. Vapid and empty.
The best, most meaningful events are player driven.
Liked the comic.
Player-driven anything is exceedingly rare in MMOs these days. So while the 'mechanical, repetitive events' are not necessarily the perfect solution, they are MUCH better than the current vacuum that is events that are 'player-driven' IMO.

Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
