FATES give you gear too and faster. The grand company gear is on par with dungeon gear. I didn't even bother grinding too much and i ended  up with 5000 company seals. So yeah right now FATES are better than dungeons both for xp as well as gear. Now unless someone just wants to run dungeons because he/she enjoys 'dungeons' well that is another point of discussion. But i disagree that dungeons give better xp or gear.

You can only get select pieces of gear from the grand company for each class so, in order completely gear up that way you would have to grind FATES for I dunno a few months to have enough seals to unlock all GC's and level them up to get the gear?

All of these people that have rushed to MAX level and figured the entire game out in 2 weeks amazes me /sarcasm

Do you know how easy it is to unlock GC ranks with all the seals you get from fates, hunting logs and GC leves?

People don't spend and seals on lower tiers of armor because you outlevel them quite fast just like how grinding one low level dungeon over and over again for gear makes little sense when it will be outleveld pretty quickly.

I leveld only wearing crafted armor and the npc armor from outposts, never had any issue. So if you save all your GC you can unlock the ranks pretty quick and get armor for lvl 40+ faster than dungeons. It is all about efficency especially when you are leveling multiple classes. And once you are on to your third class / job you wouldn't even want to look at a dungeon because FATES are much better option for egaring up and xp.

Well that is fantastic but EVEN if that is true, you can't get every piece via GC at least not level 50 equipment, for instance Malestorm has 1 ilvl 55 item for BM...1 the other factions do not have enough combined to fill out the rest of the gear slots so again, you cannot gear up via GC's they are meant to fill gaps, which they do a great job of that.  Also,  this is the exact reason everyone complains about gil, FATES give crap for gil, there are so many things wrong with your statement to level via FATES, they are the fastest and easiest way, yes but you will be hurting at MAX level for gil and spending a ton of time catching up on story quest AND GC quest because you have to run dungeons to level up your rank with them too.

What else gives gil then? the only best source for GIL is side quests, main scenarios and your class quests. And that is only helpful when you level your very first character. Some people even rolled another character just to generate some extra gil.

You don't have mains scenario anymore, guildhests XP dminishes and is crap, leves again are shared on your character so count that out for leveling, side quests are limited and by the time you are done with two jobs..side quests dry out.

So what are you left with again to level? yes FATES. So since the best source of GIL is gone aka side quests then what other choice do people have then to focus on leveling?

You make it sound as if dungeons and other sources like guildhests, leves give so much coin. Game not having enough sources to produce gils is well know problem from day one.

So whether you run FATES or not GIL is still hard to come by.

As far GC armor filling gaps. You can use those in combo with crafted armor too and not just the dungeon armor.

I agree with you on that, crafted gear is fine but most complaints in the game right now refer to gill and gear.  Both of which can be aquired via dungeons more so than FATES.  The only reason I really comment on this is because the people that are complaining haven't even made it to level cap even running FATES, they are complaining to complain.  The OP has another post filled with false information and isn't 50 on anything he has played.

I have over 110k gill, may not be a lot but apparently its more than most and I do not have a high level crafting profession, I did it the same as you, I used crafted gear which you can buy cheap and for every one of my quest turn ins I took the money bags, in later levels those things are 2500 each.  High Level FATES gives somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 gil per completion, Quest are must more efficient ways of obtaining funds
