I'm very happy to see that SE has created something quite substantial with FF:ARR.

It seems to be garnering plenty of praise around the industry, is pretty much objectively better that its source material, and seems to be heralding a new era of quality games core games for SE.

As you enjoy the game, remember to ENJOY the game. As a new MMO, even as a relaunch, there are bound to be issues. It is perfectly fine to voice one's frustrations. It is quite another to spend months on end only posting unconstructive criticisms (positive OR negative).

Lastly, remember that it is OK for other MMOs to exist. Let your game stand on its merits...don't be a community that tears down other games in the genre.

I'm looking forward to playing ARR when it comes out for PS4. Until then, enjoy the game :)

Is 'congradulations' something you say to acknowledge a person graduating?

agreed. I only wish a future expansion adds underwater content. I would be a happy person. Cant get enough underwater greatness from GW2, would love to see it in XIV for a much better XIV experience as a fisher and overall explorer. No FF game has had water content before, and this should have been the exception, for the best. Future content can still fix that. i hope.

Im enjoying it with the exception of the Gold Spammers quite annoying and will cost SE subs unless they take action. I will be one of them if its still a problem after 37 days.

The real test for FFXIV will come in couple of months..especially once free month is over.

It's a very solid game with a variety of things to do, and I'm having great fun playing it.

Aside from the issues with server overpopulation control (probably the best kind of problem any game could hope to have), there seem to be minimal bugs. I've not heard any of the 150 people in my FC complain about game bugs, and I've certainly not experienced any.

Other than the capacity problems, it's been a great launch. The game runs VERY well (once you can actually login), and the login hassles are steadily decreasing.

FFXIV will serve nicely as my MMO-home at least until the next crop of major launches in the first half of 2014. If those games are nothing special, I might well stay around FFXIV for quite a while.

I've grabbed a few FFXIV:ARR podcasts of late and there was one where someone was saying how people are now proud to say they played 14 version 1.

In the sense they are bragging that they did so, but this person would remind them how disgusted, angry and PO'd they were to the point they made statements such as they would never touch a FF or SE game ever again, and that they uninstalled it within a week. But now there all like Yea man i played Version 1, i was there. lol

So yeah SE really turned the ship around.

I'm glad the game is going well.  I'm also glad SE seems to be acting on stuff pretty quickly (hell huge changes for late game just came out even if they weren't features they were big changes).  If they can get the gold spam fixed in the next week or so then have content patches on time with the table they gave us this game will live a long life no matter what may come.

... Gold spammers Will not be dealt with in 37 days so you might as well quit now. I mean every MMO running now has Gold spammers. Hell Diablo 3 is not an MMO but still I logged on after a i dunno 4 month break and had something like 24 spam emails. (I am sure there were more they just expired)

You don't get rid of a billion dollar industry in 37 days.
