Hi folks,
Just wondering if there are any other pioneers out there who have not made it past the log in stage of the game?
I have become extremely able over the past two days at reading error messages
I am sure that the tree that is planted in DnL for me with my history on it will say " He could of changed this world had he been able to log in" 
Still very positive here, cya all in game

On Day 1 there was a good 3 or 4 hour window of stability. Once you get in the game there is little lag. I made a lvl 9 char , a lvl 7 one and 4 othrs that unfotunately got deleted as there was a bug that would get your chars stuck and unable to log back in. Lveling is very easy and fast.
The best impressions thread I have seen so far was on that first day and it may amswer some of your questions.

So possibly I have once again lost access to my main. At least all she's got is a Dragon with a name, and some key bindings, since I have not been able to make combat work. People say they have a mace -- I seem to have a crossbow and a torch, only. If I double click the torch to equip it, nothing else shows up in my pack to replace it. The first spider I saw, I couldn't attack, and a guy ran up and mushed it while I was trying to figure out the commands. The second spider killed me while I pretty much stood there and tried to switch to melee combat. After that I crashed every time I went looking for mobs.
One note: someone announced in Barony chat that you can store your Dragon by opening the mounts window from the moon icon, clicking the bar on the bottom to expand it, and clicking the white x that you then can see. Unfortunately, all that did was release my dragon to the wild. I tried to re-summon it, and got a new dragon, which then helped me kill the old one (I was trying to double click it to mount and that was an attack, as it turned out). Perhaps there is no magic pocket to hold critters; if you summon it, it will lumber after you wherever you go? *hopes there is at least a Stay command so she can go into stores*
I don't mind the problems and ctd's so much. I /really/ mind losing relog access to a character due to a ctd. We only have three to work with, and I would prefer to level up my main and /stay/ that way. There is a "Character Save" function that I have mapped to CTRL-S and will try to use often just in case.

Since I am in EST zone, and work days, my only actual connection was at 6:30am this morning. I was able to create my character (very limited options), and log in (horrible lag) before I had to log out to go to work.
I did get a "This program has performed an illegal operation" error on log out...
Haven't been back in, just got home, and servers are down still/again.

Same here! Had the various errors and got round them. Either get told the custom define error or #server down# error.
I thought i was the only 1. My mate managed to get in at 6PM UTC for arround 1.5 minutes, then the sound gave out and it crashed to the desktop. Got the custom define error ever since.
im in central time zone, i was able to play last night for several hours and got my guy to level 9, my game play smoothed out eventually, i made sure to hop on my dragon and get away from the starter area and flew to a good spawn area
While playing I have only interacted, difficultly, with the NPC with a ? over his head near the starting spawn point who gave me a quest, though I finished it I havent figured out how/where to hand it in. Any other NPC doesnt really interact.
Ive gotten some loot including fighter armor, a SK/Warrior axe, and a caster staff and a few other random stuff.
However, most of yesterday I had a terrible time with crashing, often every few minutes, and almost everytime I hopped on my dragon, I re-deleted my .ini and .cfg files, which seemed to help
Today I was able to hop on for about 40 minutes after my morning shift, however, the mob spawn server was down so it was just us PC's. Instead of moping around I decided to take my dragon and flew to the mountains to the North to try some snowboarding, while flying North and when I hit the peaks I was able to spot the large transport dragon that made my pioneer one seem like a midget. I eventually had some fun snowboarding down a mountain with some people I met. I even got to PK a light dude a couple levels below me (and got exp!).
After some more snowboarding a message came up saying the server was to be reset, the rest of today I was getting the login custom error
, and now the servers are down
The game I admit still needs a lot of work, but there is something very addictive about, I hope people can be patient with it so theres still a good number playing over the next few months, otherwise the giant world they made will feel remarkably empty

That's right, I have yet to catch the server up. I'll keep trying. Although the game is obviously very buggy the community is improving by the day. With every flaming jerk who says he is leaving DnL sounds better and better.
