Hi,
Please dont take offence to this question!!...
Are there any MMORPG's out there that may well cost in subscriptions, buying the game fees, equipment purchases etc etc, but there is still the possibility of recouping some of the cash put into the game, if not profit?
In shorter terms- "Is there an MMORPG that you can make money in to pay your ongoing fees?"
Very very new to MMORPG's so scouting round for some good startup suggestions!
Cheers and thanks

I believe that violates the end user liscense agreement and a bannable offense in i believe all games...illegal to make money off of someone elses product. copyright infringement i guess..
Ceasar
Project entropia.
Problem is you will probably lose more money than you make unless your really good at it.
Whether it violates the end-user agreement or not, it's hard to ignore the fact that there are virtual economies in these MMORPGs! I've only been reading a few hours on the subject and already heard of Chinese Farmer shops making $100 a month for farming and mining and also that guy who expects to receive a massive wedge from his investment of $100,000 in a virtual space station in PE. Anyway, if it was a bannable offence, why would exchange rates exist in these virtual economies to convert back to real cash? Obviously some players can sell on equipment, and experience to people who desire it!
I don't think I'd be a massive fan of Project Entropia. Graphics look dodgy and reviews are poor!

To quote Everquest II...
"The User Agreement and Software License, to which you agreed when you installed the game and to which you agree every time you launch the game, makes it clear that you have no ownership rights in characters, items and coin -- what you have is the right to use them in accordance with the license agreement, the rules of conduct of the game, and SOE's terms of service. When SOE launches Station Exchange, SOE will permit you to "sell" and "buy" that right to use characters, items and coin. In "lawyerese," you will be buying and/or selling a limited license right, not an ownership right."
Hope this clarifies the legality of my question!
Alex
Well anyway the 2 Station Exchange Servers are there so you can technically sell and buy stuff. However SOE get part of the profit from you selling it though...
Edited for not reading properly .
