I am getting this error each time i login, a few seconds after the splash screen goes away.
"You have been disconnected."
Anyone heard of this problem? I've tried about 20 consecutive times, same thing each time. I have a friend who is in game, so I know the servers are up.

Is there a limit to the number of connections they're accepting?
Has anyone tried logging in to a friend's acct that works? or give them your acct info temporarily. That is, for those who have trustworthy friends. Might help us realize what's going on: if it's client side, if it's server side, if it's user related, etc.
Yes, i've already done this as well. Fixed the C++ compiler error, but not this.

Out of curiosity, what video card do you have?

Do you have xfire or AIM? maybe we can find some sort of fix of this ourselves...who knows?
I'm Jonaton on xfire and exasahi on AIM.
I have ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Thought it might be a video driver issue, but i installed the latest and still getting same error.
My login goes like this:
1. initial splash screen (with sound)
2. Second Splash screen on for a few seconds, cursor changes from game cursor to normal windows pointer right as screen changes to blank black screen.
3. About 8-10 seconds later i get a popup which says "You have been disconnected." Click OK and exit to desktop.
This what you are seeing? BTW, I have msn messenger only.
Yes, i've already done this as well. Fixed the C++ compiler error, but not this.

Radeon x800 xt have yet to try it on my pos pc that has the 9800
yea, I have the same errors as you. My msn is pridonem@uc.edu (i believe). We can commiserate if it doesnt work, lol.
Hmm yeah that happened to me when i was pwning this lowie and then when i tryied to logg back in it said
ALREADY LOGGED IN blah blah for like an hour then it swicth.

I don't think you understand. We are unable to log in period because of this message. There is no opportunity to "pwn a lowie" as you say.
Yeah I've been having the same issue. Beat my brains for the whole time the server was up and said the hell with it. Not worth the anger it gave me to keep trying when the server was up again. This did however make me very happy I didn't go ahead and pre order the game like the pioneers. If SOG is having this many issues after the beta testers should of had it, I don't want to even bother with DnL until a good 3 or 4 months in. If you guys do happen to figure out what the issue is, send me a message and let me know.
ok i have a slight workaround but you are not going to like it.
1. I got this message and i am running mcafee anti-virus. My cousing running Symantec/Norton didn't.
2. I disabled anti-virus as last resort test. Walla am in game right after.
CAUTION: disabling anti-virus is not safe; howver at this time if you are running mcafee it does work to get you into game I have sent in a message to tech support regarding this issue.
I'm going to give that a try. It would make sense...I do have McAfee, so...We'll see....I'll keep this posted, so others can know about it.

got the same problem, after 1min in game "you have been disconnected"!
i turned off my anti vir and all other running software, still the same.
I have a firewall router, may i have to open ports for this game???
I think, NO, i play War3 over internet for along time and WoW too and
i never had any problems
i think this game suxxx
after disconnect the loading screen dont change and i have too finish
the game with the task manager

well, I wouldn't say that. I get kicked from the game every 15 minutes or so because of the DnLg error or whatever, but everyone's getting that. I'm talking more about the whole getting past the splash screens part. I am able to do that, with great ease now. It's definately the antivirus that causes the initial "you have been disconnected" message. If you get that past the character selection screen, then that's a different problem entirely.
Thanks to the dude who brought that up, I am so happy right now that I could kiss you, hah! Taking my dragon around the area was sweet. Just a note, tho, if you have a graphics card that is not completely awesome, make sure to run on the lower/lowest game engines. I can handle 1 much much better than 6 ;-)
I wish I could get in that far - 4 days so far and I am still not even created a charcter! Combination of different errors and server being down/rebboting etc. Starting to royally **** me off!!
after abort every running software in the taskmanager it worxxx.
but there is 1 problem... this game is soooooooo worst!!! i cant
do anything. No attack no interact...
if i walk through the lands, there is nothing! no enemys no NPC's
only nothing!!! the menues are bugged and if you change the gamekeys,
dont work! after playing 1h everything i did was exploring the boring world
of the largest mmorpg of the world with bugged enemys.
the best of the world is, in the lands outside of the camp, cant find enemys,
travelled around and saw "nothing".
in my opinion - plz stop this crap and give the good idear too guys they know
how to develop a mmorpg! why i am writing this: you can't release a beta game
which is less then an alpha!!!
