My god words cant even explain it but I will try.
Main Storyline and Job storyline took atlesast two weeks of nonstop 16 hour days. Every single part of the main storyline is 95% cutscenes with full action and movie quality animation. The characters are well thought out and makes you feel like your part of the story and part of the team. Its really easy to get attached to the storyline characters and just days into it you'll beg to want to see more and more.
The crafting is so amazing, that you'll want to do it nonstop. Every five levels you get a storyline quest even for your crafting. your crafting involves many options to actually choose what to create when you gather. you can choose to harvest shards, or choose to harvest maple wood, or four other things, all with percentages to harvest out of the same node. And everything you see in game can be crafted, even some of the best lvl 50 crafted gear, is some of the best in the game.
Farming - One of my most favorite pastimes, has a choice of probably atleast over a thousand camps, you'll never run out of things to farm from so many differant animals. The respawn times on mobs are fast enough to nonstop farm by jumping two camps at once. Its a farmers market also, with so many people crafting, you can turn a profit in no time even as a low lvl farmer.
Gameplay - One of the most action packed game play games I have ever seen. you have to keep on your toes and move really really fast, and time when to do certain skills, or you may find yourself one shoted or two shoted. The boss's are not too hard, but also at the same time, if you make a mistake like in the game of chess, you will lose.
Only two things that are a bit annoying would be, dungeon unlocks which you'll have to do the main storyline if you want to unlock them but the storyline follows your level and gives you pleanty of chance to pug anything with thier duty finder. Which I did all the way to fifty. Pugs at fifty get a bit hard because there is no in-game voice chat, and its pretty hard for most people to type.
Other then these two things, I found this game one of the best games of the year, and will probably keep me for many years to come due to the amount of stuff there is to do at max lvl.

I Play my free days down and may pay for some more if my friends like the dungeons.
The translation into my language is so far very good and leaves no wishes - SOE can take a lesson here!
The look is fantastic, weapons and especially armor is highly detailed with good textures and simply looking amazing despite of the art direction that is foreign but fits the games mood, unlike EQN - SOE can take a lesson here!
And on top of that the burden to the Hardware is even at 1920x1200 on all Maximum settings so light that my Computer (FX8350, ATI HD6950) stays cool all the time with not more than a CPU, PSU cooler and 1 small rear case fan and still delivers an amazing performance.
The atmosphere the weather and day+night lighting effects do is absolute amazing!
The far sight is absolute amazing!
While i feel that the game is a pretty traditional mmorpg its one that a like to accompany for some time til i have seen all content or something better comes out.
With the troubled start of the first Iteration FF14 in mind and the dedicated efforts of SE to make this game a better experience i feel they deserve a good success for having achieved their goal and deliver a better FF14 ARR.
I hope they will not fall into the same traps of MMOrpg-development their competitors did.
But signs are they already do...

I feel similarly. I just did my Grand Company questline the other day and I was like... huh.. now I'm rubbing elbows with some more important people. So then I join ANOTHER cities Grand Company and feel like... hah.. I'm back to Private dipshit, gotta work my way up again!
I don't know if that was the intent but it feels nice.
I want to start fishing but I haven't figured out how yet, plus I've been busy with questing. That's my next stop on the train that is FFXIV.
