I just got kicked off, and when I loged in the game it said I needed to go and activate my account. I guss that means that the monthly payments have to be set up now?

If you already had the game 1.0, they gave a 15 day trail rather then the full month to retest the game and get back into it. So given that, yes you would have to pay to play once again.

Everybody have to organize their payment prior .but it can be easily canceled at any time.I don't think most will cancel given ff14 is pretty much by itself and its a nice game with ton of viewable player!

Are you going to sub now that your free time is up?

Me?ya!I play this and the secret world and gw2 occasionally.and yes I all buy the next the secret world extension.I love that title.why I don't play more?the mood is horrorish so you have to pace your self.ff14 is packed every time so it is a good buy.people will enjoy (average gamer)oh twitch happy won't because if they screw up you can't hide the fact .people had 2.5 second to think about it!but dont be scared.people that play this game will come out better player.ya I love this game as I love tsw!

I did.  I dropped for the 180 day option. Hopefully I can pick up my eye ball mount when I get back from work :)

I will be subbing. It just seemed fishy to me.

What happened was I was doing a dungeon run. Then everyone in my party became still, yet I could still attack and the dungeon timer kept counting down. Next, I got the 9000 error, followed by the 2002 error, which crashed the game to desktop.

While I was on my desktop  I had 2 programs that were doing there routine scan. I initially thought they caused my game to crash, but then when I tried to log back in it said something about having to activate my account. I was being sent to the mog station, and to make sure it wasn't a fake, I relaunched the game and went to that sight through the main game's window.

I am a 1.0 owner, I just thought everyone had 30 days before trial was up.

Nope. 1.0 owners and Legacy players got 15 days + the 7 days extra they gave to everyone. Which for us Our free time ended today.

The sec this game is P2P I'm done, and that time is now.  Bought a Collector Edition preorder back in 2010, played the BETA 3 - 4 (ARR).  Bottom line is I don't see any reason to pay for this service vs all the F2P mmorpg out there.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed ARR, but it is not worth paying a monthly fee.  Gil Spammers and Bugs/Glitches aside, I think []enix has done a nice job with the re-launch.

I played FFxi for 3 years, WoW for 6 years, Rift 6 month, TERA 1 year, and again I just can't see wasting $13/mth on ARR.  It will be interesting to see how many FF fanboys []enix captures though.  Can't wait for MHO to come state side.

For the first time ever when starting a new sub-based premium MMORPG I'm actually considering not subbing.

This game plays too fast and way too easy, endgame is weak for content, crafting is somewhat miserable to level even though the basic system of crafting is cool, gathering is pure grind, alting is mostly grinding mindless fates (I focus on instances but not all classes are tanks or healers).

The big thing for me is that even though I didn't rush at all, I'm 50 now and the endgame grind options are pretty lame.  I really can't call grinding the same handful or less of content into dust to be fun in any way.

On top of that there's nonstop gil spam, guilds who are already fully geared (ie, done with the game) and selling content to other scrubs, tons of quality of life issues, and SE isn't exactly what I'd call one of the better MMORPG companies I've ever encountered so who knows how they'll handle anything.

Got a while to decide but if I had to decide today, it'd be a tough call.

I originally figured I'd do a 3 month sub for this game and that'd pretty much be all I needed before the game was "done" but this game plays so much faster, is so much more simplified than most post WoW clones, and has so little endgame content that I doubt most people will even last 3 months.  I figure SE better be sitting on some content or they'll be losing lotsa players well before the 3 month mark.

Premium MMORPGs do not feature built-in cheating via cash for gold pay 2 win. PLAY to win or don't play.
