One could be called finite, the other infinite.

They are not selling GIL They just want you to go to their website and that's all she wrote.

Why are you defending the OP?

Even if her password is 123456 it would take forever to guess her username and to even think that 123456 is the password.

Fools get punished end of story.

    Here here.

That's why so many people have lost their accounts, because of plain stupidity and dumb curiosity of going to the sites they spam. They're nothing but a ruse for them to stick a keylogger into your unprotected store bought DELL or Alienware :D

http://neocron-game.com/ - now totally F2P no cash-shops or micro transactions at all.

I'm glad you all so heartily agree all of us that have been banned *must* have gone to gold-selling sites and done these terrible things -_-, good god the "blame the victim" crowd is strong here. I hope every last one of you that has every blamed someone who has been hacked/banned by SE has the same thing happen to you that has to most of us. Believe it or not, some of us just might be telling the truth when we say we did not do anything that stupid.

And to hakired..you really don't understand how account data gets accessed do you ? Do you really believe the only way to get hacked is through key-loggers ? Not to mention you're ignoring that SE has already admitted a security breach.

Just ignore them evianwater. We got that trash discussion in other topics where people said they were banned only to get flammed by company sheepdogs.

To answer your question, I managed to call their UK office and an honest rep told me that the only thing they can do is to forward my problem to their superiors in Japan since they are the only ones who can unban an account.

Well guess what; after one week waiting nothing has happened.

They told me I'd be waiting up to 6 weeks.

Why do you keep saying it is your fault? It is not your fucking fault. And you are giving indication that whoever get hacked is responsible for the crime. No, it is not. I don't understand why this site has such 'culture' of putting hacking problem to victims. It is very immature and very low in culture. It is first of all, the criminals' fault and then it is the company's fault that they can't properly punish and control the proper targets.

You have to be mad not just to the hackers but also to the company who gives you an unnecessary extra problem by banning victims' accounts.

Come on, people, COMMON SENSE, WHERE DID YOU PUT IT?

You are correct, it is never the victims fault.  The reason society blames the victim is to reinforce the idea that the crime could not happen to anyone else.  It is a defense mechanism that leaves everyone defenseless and vulnerable to attack.  The victims are obviously weak, "so attack them again".  "Blame the victim for what has been done to them."

Criminals are to blame.  Equally so are the Corporations that place their customer in danger is a total disregard for anyone's safety.  This happened before in recent history with SOE, it's not like SE didn't know this could happen.

Read Integrity Compromised, and Hacked!, to find out what is being done to prevent this.

Never? So if someone makes their password "12345" they haven't contributed to the incident? If players share accounts with other players, they haven't contributed? So what you're saying is that there is no responsibility to the player to protect their account, but the "corporation" shares blame? So, no personal accountability. Seems legit.

LOL - you too huh?   I get this to many games I am not even subscribed to like Rifts, SWTOR, Warhammer - I think the phishers just toss spam out to whomever ends up on their mailing list.
Thanks for that heads up! I just cancelled my SE account since I do not play any of their games. I need to go through and cancel all of my "not playing anymore" games, too, just in case. Well, those games I did not have to buy a box for anyway :)

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.
